A New Beginning

Chapter 4

Logan and I talked every day while he finished everything he needed to do in London.

When Mom and Luke came back from their honeymoon I filled her in on what had happened. I told her about Logan's visit and about how he went back to London to discuss the plan with Mitchum. I explained that Mitchum had made him choose between the company and us. She listen very intently to everything I told her.

When I had finished explaining everything she asked, "what will he do now that he isn't with the company and where will he be living?"

"He isn't sure what his next move will be but he is optimistic that he will find something that he is passionate about. As for the where he will live part that was something I wanted to talk to you about. I had thought that until he got everything sorted out with what he plans to do that he could stay here with us."

"He can stay with us while he works to figure out his next move. I am happy with that arrangement as long as he is working towards something and that he is there for you and my little grand whatever it is you are carrying" she laughed as she said the last part.

I rolled my eyes and laughed too. Of course mom would make a joke like that. I wasn't sure as to what I was carrying either but I was happy that everything seemed to be falling into place. "Enough about me though. How was the honeymoon? Tell me everything" I thought about this for a second before I corrected myself "maybe not everything everything."

"Mexico was amazing! Luke and I went snorkelling and saw some really cool fish and the under water museum, that was really interesting. We also went and spent a day at Teotihuacan City. It was surreal to see this old city that once was home to a whole different civilization and is still standing today. There were also lots of neat clubs and bars that we went to. I even got Luke to dance with me! The resort we stayed in had this beautiful pool that you could walk right out of your room into and had a view that was to die for. We took lots of pictures and videos to be able to show you everything. The whole time I kept thinking that you would have loved this."

"Wow Mom that sounds like you had a fantastic time. I can't wait to see pictures. Maybe when this little munchkin is older we could all take a family trip there. I would love to experience all the sites you did."

"I like that plan kid. I think that would be lots of fun and maybe by that time April will have a family to and it would be a big family adventure." She said with an excited look in her eyes. "So when is Logan back?"

"I'm hoping he will be back in a weekish. He is finishing up in London getting everything at his flat packed up. He wants to be back for the first appointment next week."
