On Monday morning I got up early. I wanted to find the perfect outfit and prepare myself for the appointment. I tried to be as quiet as a mouse while I was looking for clothes so that I could let Logan sleep longer. I looked through my closet, push aside dresses I didn't want. Finally I found the dress; it was light blue and went to my knees. It was not too dressy but not too casual either; just the right mix that I looked prepared for this monumental moment.

I went to the kitchen and put on a pot of coffee. I was pouring some cereal when Luke woke up and stopped me. "You go sit down and I'll make you some waffles" he offered, "you look like you need something more that cereal."

"Thank you Luke" I replied with a huge smile. He makes the most amazing waffles and it seemed like just the thing for today.

Luke went about making the waffles and I went over my list again to make sure I didn't miss anything. I was just finishing when Logan woke up. He walked into the kitchen sniffing the air. "Man it smells amazing in here. What is that heavenly smell?"

"Luke is making his world famous waffles."

"I wouldn't say world famous." Luke said with a laugh.

"Well they are the best I have ever had." I responded matter of factly.

As we were eating our waffles Logan and I went over the list. "I think we are probably the most prepared parents ever to go to a prenatal appointment." Logan laughed as I glared at him playfully. "Ace, it's going to be ok trust me you have prepared for everything."

We finished eating and got ready to leave just as Mom was walking in to the kitchen. "Got your list?" She asked.

"Why does everyone make fun of my lists?" I ask laughing.

"Oh hunny we aren't making fun of your lists. I love your lists and how organized you are. It's just cute is all." Lorelei said pulling me in to a hug.

"Let's go Logan we are going to be late."

Half hour later we arrived at the doctors office. I was so nervous it must of shown because Logan pulled me into a hug "it's going to be ok Ace. Try not to worry so much" he said stroking my hair reassuringly.

"I know I just want everything to be ok and baby to be healthy."

"I know, I know and it will be."

"Lorelei Gilmore!" The nurse called.

I took a deep breath and walked over to the nurse with Logan holding my hand. We followed her down a short hallway and into a room. "Dr. Anderson will be with you shortly" the nurse told us.

"Thank you." I responded back. "And it's Rory actually, Lorelei is my mother. I know my name is Lorelei too but I go by Rory."

The nurse smiled and apologized before leaving the room. Once we were alone I sat on the table as Logan rubbed my leg trying to calm me down. "It's going to be ok Ace. You are prepared for this probably more than most women are coming to their first appointment."

"Then why am I so nervous, I mean I never even got this nervous on tests. What if something is wrong? What if the doctor isn't nice? What if-"

"Rory breath" he interrupted me looking me in the eyes. "I need you to take a slow deep breath."

I did as he said. "Good, now try to stay calm everything will be just fine."

"How did I get so lucky to have you here going through this with me?" I asked smiling at him.

"I'm the lucky one Ace." He replied smiling back at me and giving my hand a little squeeze.

Just then Dr. Anderson walk in the room.
