I have never nor will I ever believe this. This is for everyone who's scared... scared that they will never let go... scared that they will never move on... I know that 10 years from now I'm not even gonna remember his favorite color... I'm not gonna remember the way his lips felt on mine... and neither will you... you won't remember the way her perfume was always left on your jackets after she'd give them back to you... and you won't remember the way his eyes filled with sorrow whenever he was thinking of his past... your first love doesn't have this magic spell over you... they can be forgotten... there will not always be some spontaneous connection between the two of you... that connection will fade... and one day no longer be apparent... no longer be present... I don't believe that your first love will always have some sort of hold on you... but what I do believe is that several years from now... when you've made beautiful humans with another beautiful human who loves you more than your first love ever could... you're not gonna be thinking about your first love... you probably won't even remember their middle name and barely remember their first... or when you walk down that aisle... or when you see your wife walking down that aisle... you'll be so in love with your second love that your first won't matter... because how beautiful is it that your second love can come along after your first love and remind you how it feels to be overwhelmed with a happiness that you cannot contain... your first love doesn't matter... but your second love... oh man... your second love made you fall in love all over again even deeper than before after your heart had been shattered and put all the pieces back together... so this is to you... to
