MATHILDE HAD ALWAYS been a jewel in the eyes of her mother and father - yet they had grown to perceive her differently. While her father saw her as vibrant, irreplaceable; his treasure. To her mother, she had value; she was a possession to flaunt in order to attract aristocrats to their name.

Yet, as jewel-like as she was, she knew her mind just as well as she knew her heart; and she knew that it yearned for more.

More than the life she was fated to lead, more than the indulgent aristocracy she was forced to endure. But just what that something more was remained a mystery.

That was until she twisted fate and, in taking a leap of faith, stumbles upon the angelic marble man clad in red and discovers that - unbeknownst to him - it is not just her who is in need of something more.
