I went to my room , I don't know what I'm feeling exactly, I am not happy nor am I sad I don't know what to do so I called my best friend Saudah she is always good with words we met at London in the mall I accidentally tripped over her and we became friends instantly turns out we attend the same university .
"Hey girl !" I said gloomy
"Hi ! Why did you sound so low? , what's wrong" she bombarded me with questions as soon as she heard me
" i don't know how to put this, I'm getting married" i said with fake excitement
"what the f*ck and you are telling me now I can't believe this " she said sounding hurt
" girl take a chill pill , I was informed just now like right now , I don't even know who am getting married to , its kinda complicated" i said trying to explain
"so you are saying its arranged" she said almost instantly
"obviously" i said rolling my eyes even though she can't see me
"Oh baby !! I am so sorry , I can't imagine what you are going through , I just pray this is for the best , I'll swing by tomorrow in shaa Allah" i said feeling a little bit better
" thanks babe , this means so much to me . Goodnight I'll see you tomorrow" i said
"Goodnight and please try and sleep don't over think things we wouldn't want you to have wrinkles now do we" she said laughing
You see she knows exactly how to make a person feel better
"still cracking jokes i see" i said laughing "Bye gotta sleep" i added
"alright bye" she said then hung up
I took my bath , prayed isha I prayed for the Best.
I changed into my pj's and drifted to sleep as soon as my head touched the pillow not bothering about dinner .

In the morning.
" yaya wake up " said farhana
"why " I said in my sleepy voice
" I don't know, because it's 12:00 " she whisper yelled
" okay I'm up " I said sitting down rubbing my eyes
"you're a mess gotta take some picture" she said clicking her phone while i try to block my face from her view
" why would you do that" I said throwing a pillow at her
" just in case, I don't know when it will become in handy " she smirked evilly
" what's the occasions for you to wake me up like this ?" I asked her
" well I heard what happened between you and baba yesterday and am so sorry I never imagine you in an arranged married , and mama said you should wake up and get ready because ya raisa's lefe ( wedding gifts ) would be brought today " she said all at once
" thank you baby sis can you please select an outfit for me while I shower " I asked her standing up
" but of course " she said bowing like a lunatic.
I came out of the bathroom and I found my clothes on the sofa, my bed was already tided up farhana is a genius I say to my self .
I rubbed my cream and blow dried my wet hair , wore my clothes which is a blue high waist shirt and a white button up shirt with a black kimono and veil.
I picked my phone on the nightstand and called saudah, she told me she is in ya raisa's room helping her to get ready , I picked my bag and went straight to ya raisa's room .
" Salamu alaikum" I said as I enter
" waalaikis salam"they replied together .
I found ya raisa with saudah and farhana , they are adjusting their veils and heading out .
"Where are we going exactly" I asked no one in particular
" saudah's house " ya raisa said " actually you are going while me and farhana are going to aunt Khadija's house" she added
" okay , sounds fun "I replied grinning.
"We are going to have so much fun" saudah said
" I bet so" I replied smiling
" looks like someone is in a good mood today " she teased
" yah I am " I said .
We greeted mama who is in the parlor with a lots of aunts we told we are going out and she gave us her blessings.
All of us went our separate ways, Saudah was the one driving and in no time we reached their house with is in maitama , she honked and the gate opened immediately recognizing her car , she parked and we entered their well furnished living room .
we met her mom watching the news
" Ahh who do we have here , its been long after all you abounded me " she said
" haba umma its not like that , I was actually planning on visiting you " I tried defending myself.
She hugged me and asked me about home turns out she was heading there to see the lefe after bidding her goodbye we went to saudah's room .
