Chapter 11

I wake up the next morning to my mom grabbing my arm and yelling "OMG WHAT IS THAT?!??!!!!" I pull back my arm and before I know it I run upstairs. My mom runs behind me but I run quicker than her. I lock my bedroom door and she keeps on yelling and banging on the door for me to open the door. I sigh I am not safe here anymore. My mom will think i am a freak now and send me to get help but I cannot be helped. I am broken. I am a nobody. I am not worth saving. I look for my phone and I am glad when I find it in my back pocket thanks myself for leaving it there last night. I call Felix and begin to feel nervous all of a sudden. "Hello? (Y/N)?" "F-Felix.....?" "Oh hey whats up you never called me before." "s-s-sorry I can hang up if you're busy-" "NO I'm not busy. I was just surprised that's all. What is it" "Ummmmm" "just spit it out" "I um... I want to run away." I say and I cringe at my own words. There is a silence and then he says "Run away from what?" "everything Felix I can't be here anymore I don't want to be here anymore I want to leave everything who knows how much longer I have until I k-" I almost say I will kill myself but I stop myself. Another silence. "Alright I'm coming with. I want to go too. I'll meet you at your house in 10 minutes" "o-okay BUT DONT COME TO MY HOUSE my mom is here and she's angry I'll meet you at the gas station Felix" "Aight" he says and hang up. My mom is still yelling and I know I don't have much time. I quickly grab my school backpack and dump everything out. I put in a jacket, my phone charger, my earbuds, a notebook in case I get bored, 2 mechanical pencils, 1 pair of black jeans, 2 band t-shirts, my favorite book, and a small blanket. There is more space and I remember that I need money. I go to my drawers and pull out $300. I was saving it for a band concert but I need it now. As I quietly and quickly climb out the window and down the side of my house I look at my room one last time. Who knows when I will see it again. When my feet are on the ground I run faster than ever before. I run to the gas station and go inside because I can't risk being seen. I buy a soda and wait for Felix. When I see him I run up and hug him and then I blush "OMG F-F-F-Felix I am s-so sorry I didn't mean to-" "it's okay" he says with a smile. He motions me to his car and I get in. "Where are we going" I ask. "Anywhere but here" he says and starts driving.
