with memories
that haunt
their hearts
with too raw
emotionsThey deafen
the world
around her
hunted her
screams down
until it all
glared whiteWords
that tugged
forcefully
at her tears
left them
to dry out
till the first break
of dawn burst throughAs it rose
to the sky
the warm gold
brushing her skin
an epiphany
struck herThe memories
visited her nightmares
because she let themAs this
revelation
hit her
she let go
of the haunting cold
memories of last night
