Lance:

*flashback from the last chapter if you skipped it*

Keith closed his eyes and his breathing evened out, leaving a barely conscious in my lap. I stroke his forehead, trying to ease him to sleep. I gently lift him into my arms and carry him to the healing pods, where he rested peacefully, hopefully getting better. The rest of the team eventually was informed of Keith's condition and they all came down to check on him.

"Lance, how's-" Allura came first, followed by Pidge, Coran, and Shiro. She stopped almost immediately upon seeing Keith.

"Lance... Why does Keith have Galra ears...?" I turned around and see exactly what she meant;

Keith's ears had flipped up.

And everyone could see them.

It took a while, but with whatever knowledge that Shiro, Pidge and I had, we explained Keith's ears to the rest of the group. Allura wasn't happy, to say the least. She stormed off before Lance could even finish. She'd heard enough. I didn't care though because shortly after she left, Keith came tumbling out of the pod.

"Keith!!" I caught him in my arms, letting him rest against my chest. His eyes didn't open, but he was breathing normally.
He's just asleep, I had to remind myself. He's fine. I sighed and picked him up as I carried him back to his room. He was still resting peacefully in my arms. His face still had a faint blush on it, but it was no where near as bad as before. Keith whimpered and his face scrunched up, tears brimming his eyes.

"Shh, it's okay, baby, it's okay." I soothed Keith, hoping he'd go back to sleeping peacefully. Thankfully, Keith stopped whimpering, but the pained look never went away. I smiled and pecked Keith's forehead. I entered Keith's room and laid down, allowing Keith to lie down on my chest. The Red paladin was peacefully resting, his breathing evened out while his eyes stayed shut. I smiled and played with his hair while i was on my phone, scrolling through whatever social media forms Pidge placed in my phone. After a while, Keith shifted, placing his arms around his stomach. I looked down and Keith's face was uncomfortable, and his hands were wrapped around his sides. He was whimpering quietly and sweat beaded his forehead.

"Hey, Kitten, what's the matter?" I said, stroking his head. Keith continued whimpering and started gripping my shirt loosely.

"Hey, hey hey hey, it's okay, baby. Nothing's going to hurt you. You're safe." I said, rubbing his shoulder. Keith eased up and sighed, falling back to sleep. I sighed as well, rubbing Keith's back soothingly as he slept. Keith purred
