Nico's POV

I looked at the odd group, unsmiling. "So what are your real names?" I ask emotionless.

Thor jumps in to open, probably so none of the others would say something that they would regret. "As you know, I am Thor. And this," He pointed at shortish goatee man, "Is Tony Stark, the one who owns this building. He is Iron Man."

The man in question saluted us mockingly.

He then gestured to Captain America, "This is Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America." the blonde smiled kindly at us, and waved.

He pointed at the annoying redhead. "This is Natasha Romanoff, the super spy, and is called Black Widow." She was still glaring at me.

Next was the sharp-faced man on the couch. "This is Clint Barton, a marksman also known as Hawkeye." He looked up once again and lifted a hand in greeting

And lastly, was the curly-haired, tired looking man. "And, this is Bruce Banner, the Hulk." the guy smiled apologetically, but his eyes were slightly annoyed as if he didn't like being identified as the Hulk.

"So, why the hell have you two been in two wars, how does Thor know you, and why does he think your more capable of fighting the fire being than us?" Captain America asked incredulously.

I looked at him. This was apparently the 'man out of time', the 'hero' who killed a lot of my friend's families. I had trouble seeing him for a nice guy, as I had recently recovered most of my memories from Italy, and remembered hearing such terrible stories of what he has done and what he encouraged. But I'm willing to give him a chance, as I cannot hold grudges any more. I guess that goes for Natasha as well.

I looked at Will, and we silently agreed on not telling these people about our world. Thor seemed to catch on and nodded slightly.

"Our parents are quite important, and being that important, we have powerful enemies that we inherited from them. We have learnt from a very young age, me being 10, and Will being about 9, to fight these enemies. Unfortunately, these enemies are supernatural, which makes them difficult to fight. The first war we had was with my father's father, who wanted to 'retake' the family 'throne'. We won. The second war was with my great grandma, who was trying to do the same and in turn avenging her children. She used some of my step-grandparents in a fight, which we also won. the third war was a lot smaller, and we had to defend a school from an attack-"

"-What the hell?" Stark interrupted, completely confused.

I glared at the self-important man and continued.

"Thor and his family are 'allied' with our family, so that's how he knew us. He knows that only our family can fight the beings that attacked you-"

"-There's more?" Natasha interrupted this time.

"Yes," I replied shortly. "So many more. And they keep being reborn constantly, so even if you kill them, they are reborn."

I turn to Thor, and say something experimentally in Ancient Greek, to see whether he knows the so-called'dead' language.

"Can you understand, god of Thunder?" I speak to him.

"Yes. I learnt this language along with a couple of others on Asgard."

Will's eyes widened, "That's awesome!"

Stark pouted like a child. "What language are you speaking?"

"Is he always like this?" I sigh.

"You get used to it," Thor replies.

"So could the mortals see the fire guy?" Will asks.

"Yes, they could, which was one of the reasons why I called you. Aren't the monsters shielded from the midgardien's view?" Thor replied, a bit worried.

"The Mist. You're saying it's not working?" I say, panicking.

"I don't think so."

"JARVIS, what language are they speaking?" Tony's voice brings me back to reality.

"Sir, it appears they were speaking in a very old version on Greek." A voice sounds out from seemingly nowhere.

"Old Greek? Can you translate?" he asked.

"No sir, I am sorry that I am unable. Ancient Greek is a dead language, with almost no records of how to translate it."

Thor sighed. "You do not need to know, Stark."

"Of course I need to kn-"

I glared at the man, and he looked a bit shaken. He shut up, promptly.

But this was a disaster. If the Mist wasn't working then we would be found out.

Definitely.
