"You have five seconds to move before I slap fifty shades of ugliness off your face."

Maddy gasped. "How dare you?!"

I tapped my foot, waiting for Maddy to move out of my way to go sit down with Audrey at our usual lunch table. She was on my case about Jaxon again.

I didn't want to deal with this. The school day needs to hurry up and end so I don't have to deal with anyone else today. Jaxon winning the bet was already getting on my nerves.

"Stay away from Jaxon!"

I wrinkled my nose. "Do you think I want to be around him?" She glared at me for a minute, obviously lost of words before she stormed off to join the table where Jaxon and a few other popular snobs and fangirls were.

I sighed in relief, walking over to Audrey who was sitting with Tyler, Caleb, and Trent.

"Hey, Kimora!" Trent called out and everyone waved. I returned the gesture, sitting next to Caleb. "Any news from Kamila?" Trent asked shyly. I understood that he and Kamila are close and they have a crush on each other.

"She's coming back Sunday." I smiled and he nodded, blushing a bit. He's so adorable.

I shifted my gaze over to everyone else. "So what were we talking about?"

They all shared a look before whistling or looking around the cafeteria and not at me. I groaned, knowing exactly what they were talking about.

"I warned you," Audrey said.

Tyler frowned. "Are you going to start wearing cat ears or something?" Everyone laughed and I rolled my eyes. "Just when you started to get on my good side, Tyler."

"Sup, guys!" Jaxon joined the table, plopping down next to me. He draped his arm over my shoulder, pulling me into him. "Hey, Kitten." I rolled my eyes, not finding the energy to pull him off me. "Hello, Captain Douche."

"Kimora greeting Jaxon back and their cuddling?" Caleb said in disbelief while he color-coordinated his Skittles. "Kitcap has stepped up to another level."

I reached over and jumbled his Skittles. He pouted like a child whose dreams were crushed. "How could you be so cruel?"

"How could you say something like that?" I glared at him. Jaxon's phone vibrated and he dug it out of his pocket.

Being nosey, I tried to see who he was talking to but, it was just a number.

The text message made me curious while Jaxon replied.

Who could he be talking to? He could be talking to a girl or something but, it didn't seem like it

Who could he be talking to? He could be talking to a girl or something but, it didn't seem like it. Something about this gave me an uncanny sensation. I glanced up and Jaxon was already fixated on me. "Curiosity killed the cat." He said lowly, furrowing his eyebrows at me. I shuffled in my seat and he got up from the table.
