Weeks later .....
" okay sooo we got love and basketball , Like Mike , and my favorite Princess and the Frog" I said cheesing.
It's been almost a month since the incident happened.
And to be honest I truly feel happy. I felt like a burden has been lifted off my chest.
On a good note Me and Rock hang out a lot more.
He's really a fun person to be around. Sometimes I wish I can have more than just a friendship with him, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't want nothing with me in that type of way.
No guy really ever has besides Ashton.
" I guess I'll settle for Like Mike, I haven't seen that movie since I was about yay tall" Rock said.
" I'm a sucker for throwbacks , so I watch it much as I can"
We both sat on the little pallet I made with nothing but snacks. I know I suppose to be watching my weight but a girl can get a grub on just for a minute.
" you know I plan on getting my own spot"
" that's good but you don't like where you live"
" nah I don't get no privacy in that joint"
" what about Kane and Dub aren't they your friends"
I come to find those guys hilarious as well.
" dem niggas will be fine"
" well hopefully I get to see this apartment of yours soon"
" you will soon as I get the money to buy it" he said staring at me, but he quickly looked away.
I let out a sigh.
Towards the middle of the movie I decided to spark up the conversation I had with the psychologist I ran into.
" I think I may know someone that could help you with your nightmares you're having "
" Nia I told you I'm good on that" he said waving me off.
" but it's not healthy for you Rock, there is gotta be a reas-"
" Nia I'm done talking about this aight" he said in a very serious tone.
I was only trying to help a friend out.
For the rest of the movie I just stayed quiet munching on the popcorn.

Now I feel bad.
She haven't said a word to me or even looked at me.
I never meant for what I said to come out that way.
By the time critics was showing I watched as she got up cleaning up the little mess we made.
" I guess I'll get going" I said standing up to my feet.
" ok I'll go get my keys" she said with her back turned.
" Nawl I don't want you doing that I can just catch the bus"
" no it's too late for that and I'm pretty sure the next bus would be coming in the next hour"
" okay if you suggest then" I said shrugging my shoulders.
I watched as she grabbed her purse and keys off the table before opening her door.
The car was quiet and a uncomfortable one too.
" pull over for a minute"
" what's wrong?" She said staring at me for the first time since we left her place.
" you still mad at me ?"
" no why would I be"
" cause you barley said a word to me after the movie"
She let out a sigh.
" ok I am, but I was just only trying to help you Rock seeing you like that scares me and I feel like you won't get any sleep if you don't get whatever is off your chest"
" I'm sorry for being a concern friend" she said crossing her arms.
She looks cute when she mad.
" and I thank you for being a concern friend" I said tugging at her arm to separate them but only tickling her instead.
" ok ok stop" she said laughing.
" Nawl not until you ain't mad no more"
" ok I'm not" she said giving up.
Afterwards, she continue to drive me home.

" I hate this part" she said stopping at my place.
" what ?"
" that you have to leave"
" Nia you will see me at work on Monday there ain't no need to trip" I said laughing a little.
" I knoww but it's ... different" she said poking her lip out.
Only God knows that I just wanted to kiss them.
Damn I gotta get out this car.
" you'll be fine see ya later okay?"
" okay bye" she said softly.
I gave her one last look before I got out. I walked up the step going up the step seeing Kane.
" damn dude where the hell you been"
" minding my damn business" I said to Kane who was sitting on the stoop.
" yo I heard you have plans of moving up out of here . . . yo parole officer cool with that.
I nodded my head. I had to get special permission.
Dub had to run his mouth.
" yea I sure am getting away from y'all crazy asses"
We both laughed.
" I might have to crash that bih"
" aye man ion know about all of that "
" hahaha aight man"
It got quiet between us.
" yo you hear that" I said scrunching my face.
" Dub nasty ass wit some hoe"
I shook my head.
" they been going at it before you got here man" Kane said shaking his head.
" nasty asses"
I guess I wasn't getting no sleep tonight.

I shook my head at her foolishness.

" we had a movie night"
" well aren't y'all cute" she said smirking.
" I'll be glad when y'all actually get together. I feel sooo bad praising that women beater"

Although I hope it was true I wasn't too for sure.
