Let's Start Again! (Hermione Zabini)

The Funeral #2

Hermione's Prov:                                                                                                                                                              We all settled down and went to our seats. I could feel my heart my racing as i got a glimpse of my dad in the open coffin. Noticing my stiffness Draco intertwined my fingers in his drawing circles on my palm

"Good Morning, ladies and gentlemen," He greeted "Today we are gathered here today to this celebration of Walter Zabini who passed away on November 27th, 2010, Tuesday. We will begin the ceremony with his family members as we go further on with friends. I would like to call upon the family of Mr. Zabini"

I gave on last smile to Draco as me and Blaize go up the stairs to the alter, and i could tell mom was not in a condition to speak or come on the alter . As i went i saw some of the pictures closely and smiled, some were from the first day i came into this family, then some were from when we were having fun in the pools and everyone was laughing and smiled at each of them 

Blaize took the mike from the man and i guess he was going to speak first and i had no idea what i am going to say

"My name is Blaize Zabini," he started off "I think that it is safe to say that dad was one of the best that i had met. He was an inspiration from my side, i looked up to and still do on mostly everything. This incident has shaken me a lot i won't deny it, everything happened so fast but it was fated. We went through many ups and downs but we there for each other all the way"

And with that the crowd erupted into an applause during that time Blaize asked me if i wanted to say anything, without thinking i said yes and he gave the mike to me and stood a little back. I saw as the audience then turned their eyes on me and fixed them

"My name is Hermione Zabini," I then speak "Honestly i didn't know him very well, since everything going in the Wizarding World with Voldemort, dad sent em away until it was safe to bring me back. And when i did come back, we started up pretty good and i could tell he was a great father despite everything. He was really nice and played a role of wonderful father"

By the end of the speech i was in tears and i couldn't hold them as they left my eyes and creased do my cheeks. The crowd was in applause again abut i didn't care as my tears slipped, Blaize gave me hug and stayed by my side as we descended down the stairs and back to our seating area with the others 

The same man came up again and told to stand as we recited some vows. Later we had to say our good byes. The people who didn't know dad very well just left after keeping a flower at the side tables and said goodbye 

Mom then came beside us again and we went to dad's coffin together. Now that i was looking at a clear view of him. He looked really peaceful. He was dressed in a black and white suit and neatly comb hair  

I traced my fingers on the opening of the coffin at the embroidery. More tears welling in my eyes. From the corner of my eye i could see Blaize and Mom with the same condition. I didn't hear what the others said but i started my good bye

"Hi, Dad" I say smiling a little through the tears "I can tell you're in much better place now, i really miss you everyone does. I really hope you know that you were a wonderful father and i love you," 

With that i put the rose on the corner and looked around. Then two people from the ministry came backing us away as we had last glance at Dad picked the coffin up and left with it, I didn't look where they were taking it. 

"Come on, let's go home," Draco said 

After saying goodbye to Mom and making sure that she would take better care of her self i left with Draco and the others. We then came back to the common room right as we had left it, in the morning, it was lunch time by now or even more

There was a hand on my wrist and everyone went out side the common room 

"Where are you going?" I asked confused 

"We are going to lunch, but since we are late we have to go directly to the kitchens since we are an hour late," Harry said "And this we are not letting you out of our sight," 

We went down to the kitchens making small conversation along the way. I was actually really happy to listen to the word food or lunch i hadn't had a proper meal in two days 

We reached the kitchens as the wonderful smell hit us as we entered through the doors. There were three elves in inside making something together, until they noticed us 

"Ms. Zabini!," One of them said it was Destine

"It's really nice to see you too Destine," I say smiling 

Followed by the others, it was Triny, Destine and Tina. I was really familiar with all of them and they were also with me 

"Do you know them?" Ginny asked 

"yeah, i use to come," I say remembering the times "I took care of them for many years now"

"Destine could me and my friends get something to eat?" I asked her lightly 

"Sure," she said before she and the others left to get food

As they left i could feel all pair of eyes on me, and i knew kind of new why 

"What?" i asked 

"How were you in even allowed?" Luna asked 

"Oh, Mcgonagal knew and i guess the rest of the teachers too, since no one stopped me when i use to come here after curfew," I replied 

The elves were back with our food. We had pasta with meatballs and mashed potato with boiled vegetables. For drinks we had pumpkin juice and water. 

"Thank you Destine, Triny and Tina," I say

"Your welcome, Ms. Zabini" Triny say as they left

We enjoyed our lunch really well, and considering we were having our lunch 5 when we were suppose to have it on 1. I don't think any of us would be hungry after this much food well we never know what happens with the boys, give them food all day they won't stop eating
