"Please help me with this," groaned Draco in frustration and disgust.

Hermione and Draco were serving detention with Argus Filch, cleaning the greenhouses. And Draco, being the spoilt Malfoy that he is, wouldn't touch the hippogriff dung fertilisers.

Hermione, pushing Draco away a little, gave in and said, "Oh, move away," both amused and irritated by his rich boy antics.

She picked up the bag full of glorified poop, and started spreading it all over the second years' mandragora plants.

Draco covered his mouth and nose and said, his voice a little muffled, "How can you touch this stuff? It's positively horrid."

"Because I unlike you am not a rich spoilt brat," she said with a smirk.

"Oh my god! Did Hermione Granger just smirk and insult someone? I really am a bad influence on you, aren't I?" Draco exclaimed with fake astonishment.

"Well, if the bad influence means more kissing, then I don't really mind it that much."

"Well, I'm happy to oblige."

Draco immediately pulled Hermione towards him, and their lips met. The bag of fertiliser fell from Hermione's hand, forgotten for a tick. But Hermione soon came to her senses, and pushing Draco away, she hissed "Not right now, we're in detention!"

"So?" He said nonchalantly, trying to kiss her again. But she put her hand on his face and pushed him away, with a firm "No."

She picked up the bag of fertiliser and began spreading it again.

Dismayed, Draco started arranging the gardening tools.

After some time, Filch called out,"You can go now."

Draco muttered thank merlin under his breath, immediately dropping the rake he'd been holding. The old sorry can clean it up later.

Hermione, on the other hand, neatly stacked the fertiliser bag on top of the others, before going to the wash basin to clean her hands, and then scourgifying it for good measure.

They walked out of the greenhouse together. They held hands as they slowly approached the castle, and Draco looked over at Hermione, admiring the way her untameable hair was pulled into a ponytail, and the few loose strands that she'd tucked behind her ear. She was saying something about Mandrakes, but Draco was too mesmerized by her soft lips, and their graceful movements as she talked, to pay attention to a word she said.

"Draco? Draco, are you even listening?"

He jumped back to reality as he realized that she'd been calling his name. He looked into her eyes, confused, and she realized what had happened.

"You were checking me out, weren't you?" She said, with a playful smile tugging at her lips.

"Huh? No, of course I wasn't!" Draco said defensively.

Hermione smirked, amused. "It's okay, you don't have to lie, you know. I don't mind it. But anyway," she continued, "We've reached the castle now, so you may want to hop back into your senses."

Draco looked in front of him, and saw that they had indeed reached. Half of him wanted to pull her away into an empty classroom, and snog her like there was no tomorrow, but he could see the exhaust in her eyes. She was wearing herself out studying, and staying up late with Draco. She needs to rest, I guess.

"I should be heading back to the common room to rest, then. You should too, you know," Draco told her, a little concern laced in his gaze.

"Well, okay. I have been feeling a bit out of it lately... Goodnight, then."

Draco pulled her in for one last peck, and headed to the Slytherin common room.

Hermione too started walking to her common room. But almost as soon as Draco was out of sight, Ron appeared out of nowhere in front of Hermione.

"Ron?" Hermione asked confused, "What are you doing here?"

"I could ask you the same question."

"I'm coming from detention."

"Well, I was in the library doing my homework."

Hermione chucked in disbelief.
"You? Doing homework?"

"Well, I have no one to do my homework anymore."

Hermione slightly frowned,"It's good you're doing your own homework, atleast you're more independent. And anyway, you've done this to yourself, so don't you dare blame me for it."

Ron's eyes widened,"I didn't mean it that way!"

"What did you mean?"

Ron looked away from her and said sheepishly,"I mean...I miss you. I miss having you around. And," Ron let out a deep breath,"I'm sorry."

Hermione was speechless. She had not expected that at all. It took her awhile to comprehend what he had just said. Slowly, then all at once she understood what he said.

As soon as she realised this she practically leapt forward and hugged him.

"I knew you'd come around!"

She broke the hug and said,"So we're friends again?" still not quite believing it.

Ron smiled a bit fakely. But Hermione didn't pay much attention to it, still overjoyed by his earlier words.

"Are you tired? You want this water?" Ron asked her offering her a bottle, which he took out of his book bag.
Hermione took it from Ron, not paying much attention to his sudden change of topic. After all, she was quite thirsty.

"Yes, please. Thank you." Hermione replied taking a sip.

The water tasted odd, but it didn't taste bad. It tasted quite amazing actually.

What is this?, She thought suspiciously taking another sip. Strangely, her vision was blurring and her thoughts were slow like someone trying to get out of quick sand.

"Ron? What is this?"

And then everything went black.

Hermione blinked.

Once.

Twice.

She tried to gather her surroundings.

She was on a...desk?

Her vision cleared a bit more.

Why am I in a classroom?

"Hermione? Are you up?" Ron's voice rang in her ears.

"Ron? Why am I in this class?" Hermione asked, a bit concerned.

"You fainted so I brought you here."
Ron helped her get up. But then something weird happened. As soon as she saw Ron, she had an urge to kiss him.

What? Hermione, stop it! What's wrong with you? Get a grip!

But the urge was there, and she couldn't deny it.

Her body started moving of its own accord. She grabbed him and started kissing him desperately, almost animalistically.

What am I doing?, Hermione thought, utterly disgusted with herself.

Suddenly, a light bulb switched on in her brain. She knew what was going on. How dare he?

Ron had given her a love potion.
