Celvia is not a whore, a ho, or any other way you want to put it. In the Universe we're in for this book, it isnt uncommon to find someone who like a date them before finding your mate. She never kissed her boyfriend because she wanted to save both her first kiss and virginity for her mate.  Which I would've explained in later chapters if people weren't so judgemental. She felt a strong connection with her ex boyfriend, so she decided that she'll take the chance that he may be her mate. She didn't kiss him or have sex with him because she wasnt sure.
