Firefighters risk their lives every day to save others. Being one is not easy. Being a woman firefighter is even worse. People would treat you like you don't deserve to be there, or that you're not worthy enough to be part of their crew.
Joanna Parsons defeated those odds.
She became a firefighter a long time ago, and at first, it was tough. The house she was a candidate for, House 21, was a total nightmare, but she pulled through and came out stronger. When she transferred to House 51, things were rough at the start, but then it got easier as time went by as she proved why she was where she was. They were a family.
Life is a challenge, and when you're a firefighter, those challenges escalate until things get out of control. And man, Jo's life is starting to get out of control, and she doesn't know if she could handle it.
But in the end, Jo realizes many things about her and her life, and she ends up in a much better place than when she started.
