Julia's P.O.V.

With the Volturi coming in a couple of days some of us decided to spend that time training. I was focusing on my other powers I was gaining and my speed, I am part vampire but I move at half the speed of one. Bella found out thanks to Elazar that she was a shield and she has been working on projecting it. I couldn't help but giggle when I thought of her first day trying to project her shield, Edward was the guinea pig and Kate kept shocking him flat on his ass every time Bella's shield failed to protect Edward in the first place.

Seth was my training partner; my goal was to run faster than him while he was in his wolf form, which at the moment was so close I could feel it. We would start from the back door at the house and would run to the treaty line on my family's side and then run back, so far its been a dead tie almost every time. The first day we started this Seth beat me by half a second, but today was the day. I was prepared to beat Seth Clearwater. "You sure you ready to get your ass handed to you again?" Seth said as he took off his shirt, preparing to go shift. "You bet, Clearwater." I said with a smirk as I glanced over his built figure in front of me. "Yea, yea whatever you say Hale." He said with a smirk of his own as he ran behind a tree to remove the rest of his clothes and to shift.

It wasn't ten second later his wolfy form appeared out of the trees, with the shorts he had been wearing in his mouth. He dropped them by his discarded shirt. "Ok you two, I want a ice clean race, no funny business!" My dad said with a smirk knowing his little girl was about to beat this werewolf in a race. "Ok! On your mark, get set, Go!" And with that I was gone, I was bobbing and weaving through tree branch after tree branch, jumping over stumps and boulders. I was enjoying my lead until I heard a yip from behind me and I saw Seth hot on my heels. I pushed myself harder than I have in the past and it paid off as I saw the treaty line in front of me. I kept my speed up as I gripped the side of a tree to turn around on with out loosing my balance. I was in the home stretch and I saw my dad cheering me on as I hit the front steps, with Seth trailing behind me a few seconds later. "WOOOO!!! That's my girl!!!" My dad boomed as soon as I caught my breath. Seth came back a few seconds later in his human form and half dressed.

"Way to go Jules! Congrats on beating me!" Seth said as he hugged me. "Can we go on a little walk?" Seth asked with a small blush to his cheeks. "Sure anything for you Seth." I said with a smile. We walked for about five minutes in peaceful silence, Seth sat down on a fallen tree so I decided to sit next to him. "Are you ready?' He asked with a quirked eyebrow, "For a fight after that I'd say hell yea I am!" I said with a smile. Seth chuckled, "You've been ready for a fight for weeks Jules, I mean for him. are you ready to meet Alec?" To be honest Alec hadn't entered my mind for days, I had been to busy training to worry about him. "Eh kinda, sorta, not really?" I said with a shrug of my shoulders. "I haven't thought about him much, I've been to busy training." Seth smiled "Or you were too busy looking at all this!" Seth said with a laugh as he gestured to his abs. "Oh yea totally, I got lost in starring at your abs all day!" I said with a swoon.

We laughed for about another minute over that whole situation, until Seth started talking again. "Jules I don't want you to get hurt by him." he said with sympathy evident in his voice. "I don't want to get hurt wither but, Seth he's my mate. I was somehow matched up with him. I won't lie to you, I'm scared of him and what he could possibly do." I said with sadness coating all of my words. Seth stood up, taking my writs in his hands. and helped me up. "I'll make sure he never hurts you Jules." Seth said as he hugged me, I couldn't help but melt into his embrace. He was taller than me so my face was just below his neck. I took a beep breath of his scent. Unlike my family, I didn't smell wet dog, I smelled pine trees, mixed with meadow grass. It was a comforting scent, Seth must've picked up on what I was doing and copied my actions, taking in my scent and relaxing into it.

We pulled away from our embrace just so I could look into his gorgeous chocolate colored eyes, something in me just kept pulling me closer and closer until his lips connected with mine.
