The girl closed the door, turning her back to Colin. Her heart was rushing faster and faster. As far as she remembered, she had never felt so much happiness, perhaps because she was only sixteen years old. Or maybe because she had not found anyone who could make her feel that way. "I heard that yesterday was your birthday.. I feel so bad.. sorry again," he said in a slightly subdued tone. "Er, yes, but who told you?" He seemed amazed at hearing these words, and turned around. "Your aunt. She also told me that you were here, and as soon as I heard I took the first plane to Venice. " He smiled. "oh, I did not know ... I should call her and thank her for everything, especially for making me meet you again... "the girl blushed and looked at him tenderly. She picked up the phone and dialed her aunt's number. She replied after a while, greeting her enthusiastically: "Hello, how are you this morning? Everything alright? Have you received some presents?" She was anxious to know if Chiara had her surprise "Yes, thank you, it's alright, and yes, I received it! " She turned and smiled at Colin. "I'm happy! So, what's the program for today?" They kept talking, and in the meantime Colin approached the girl. He gently touched her shoulders, moved her hair away from them, a little shiver run through her body. Then he lowered himself and kissed them softly, as if not to ruin them. Chiara began to shiver and her skin begged for more. "Ok honey, now I have to go to work, we'll be here tonight and enjoy your surprise!" her aunt said, giggling. "Aunt, I will certainly do it ahah," the girl replied, and hung up. She turned to Colin and put her hands on his chest. He hugged her, holding her tight, then kissed her and recreated the magic of the last time. Although there was a huge difference between them, in all, there, at that moment, both seemed to disappear from the world and be there only for each other. They did not think of anything, except to love the person they had before their eyes, the one they wanted and they were in love with. When they parted, a complex geography was created between their looks, but full of certainties. They loved each other, and even if they did not dare to think about it, they really loved each other, and it did not matter if there were a big age gap between them, a career, studies, families. To ruin everything, it was the knock of one of her mates. She had left her things in Chiara's room and had to get them back to get ready. "Oh my.. Listen, hide in the bathroom while I'm going to open the door." The girl whispered, and Colin did as he was told.
"You finally opened the door for me, where are my clothes?" The annoyed companion said, leaning against the door.
"Er, in there, I'm going to get them for you," she turned, looking for the girl's suitcase. "Ah, there it is.. now can you go please? I have to dress myself too." Chiara was annoyed by the fact that her most odious companion had ruined everything.
"Oh gosh, I'm going, stay calm!" she said that and left. Chiara sighed with relief, opened the bathroom door and smiled at Colin, a little embarrassed. "Excuse me, but I did not think it would be right .. that is now .."
"You do not have to apologize, in fact, I have to apologize for not even greeting you.." Saying that, he pulled her closer to him and kissed her, whispering into her ear "greetings baby.." She laughed and continued to kiss him gently. When she escaped his embrace, because she had to change, she told him he would have to wait while she was in the bathroom. "Alright, I'll wait here."He waited for a good ten minutes, until she came out, beautifully dressed. "Wow!" Colin exclaimed, looking at her in amazement. "But if you go out like this, maybe you'll find yourself a boyfriend!"
"Ahah but what boyfriend! You have understood that, in short, I like you, and that you are making me live a dream, so I mean ... you can still be assured that I will think only of you today, as well as tomorrow and day after tomorrow.." Chiara told him smiling. He leaned over to kiss her one last time before leaving the room. "Listen, I suggest you go out first, otherwise there could be some scandals and so on ..." he put his finger to her mouth to silence her and whispered "when will I be able to see you again?" Her eyes lit up.
"Tomorrow I leave, you know where to find me." And having said that, she kissed him on the cheek and, taking her things, went out, still smiling at him.

The program for that day was as beautiful as it was tiring. They visited the Venetian Villas by ferry, various towns and some museums. Chiara, however, although enchanted by what she saw, always had that thought fixed in mind, which made her smile all the time. She had no particular friendships, at least not on this trip with her, but she usually talked to a younger girl of Filipino origin, Serena. She was sweet, always cheerful and helpful. "Hello Chiá, are you okay? We have not seen each other since last night ..." she asked her at lunchtime, since they had sat down at the same table. "Oh Sere! I felt all right, very well, I have received good wishes from everywhere!" Chiara had for a moment awakened from the obfuscation caused by Colin. "My mum have not even called to know how I am.. but however, I'm used to it now.. Tonight, would you come and sleep in our room? " Serena seemed somewhat worried about Chiara, she saw her lost in thought and this had never happened before.
"Thank you, dear, but no.. I will certainly be very tired tonight, I am already tired now, and I think that staying up until 4 will not do me good." she answered, pretending to complain. "Mhh alright, we leave it for another time." She was a little disappointed that she could not go, but patient as she knew she hated to sleep too little. The day ended, and still very tired, Chiara returned to the hotel with the rest of the group. She was exhausted, she believed that if she had not sat for a moment she would have collapsed to the ground. Entering the room, she took off her jacket and laid down on the bed. She closed her eyes when she remembered Colin. She woke up immediately, put on a clean sweater, the first she found, and put a bit of mascara on her eyelashes. She never put on make-up before, just for important occasions, like that. She wished to see him, but after a while, sleep took over, and she wrapped herself in the warm sheets. She sat on the bed and in no time she fell asleep. Colin arrived shortly after, entered without knocking, since the girl had forgotten the door open. He saw her so helpless, like a baby in the cradle, and sat down next to her without waking her. That could be the last time he saw her, but he thought he could have spent all this time looking at her. He stroked her loose hair, whipped it away gently from her face and then gave her a gently, but very sweet kiss on the cheek. At that moment, although the touch had been lighter than that of a feather, the girl winced and opened her eyes. Colin smiled at her, continuing to caress her. She smiled too, sat on the bed and put her hand on his cheek. "I'm sorry, I did not want to interrupt your dreams." Colin looked sorry, even though he was really happy that she woke up. "Excuse me, I would have been awake waiting for you, but I did not resist longer." She approached slowly and kissed him, tenderly, and like two children in kindergarten, stroked their faces. For them, that was like making love. It was the most innocent way to do it, and they loved it. As indeed, they loved each other. Time passed, and both tired, stretched out on the bed and, embraced, fell asleep, as in the movies.
