- Tag You -

41 18 11

'Tag you,' your eyes say then chase away

only to come running back,

and escalating my heartbeat

as I hide the shy smile beneath my teeth.

Friends tease as you cross by

eyelashes dip with the fire of rosy cheeks.

'What to say?' My mind is out of control,

just a smile from you brightens my whole.

Giddy feelings bubble inside

a smile graces my face every time.

So bright and light my heart feels

like I'm floating on cloud nine.

Sleep decides to take a hike

waiting for the phone to chime.

Furiously typing, deleting half the bits,

I wait a while before finally sending it.

Now our words are playing tag

instead of running, they complete back.

So pure, so new is our love

spreading it's wings like a new-born bird.

I tried to stay away from rhyming in this poem but alas! It just won't let go. :/

This poem is about the first time when two eyes meet (chupke-chupke ;P) and love blossoms.

This is not my best work. The flow could've used some work but I'm done for the night. It's 2:13 AM here. Time to hit the bed, hopefully my sleep won't decide to take a hike. xD
