Amidst the crowd of people & planes
Our eyes widen in surprise
A chance meet or
A play by fate?
Words frozen inside the heart
Never felt so real
As we held our gaze
From the other side of the glass.
Years between us
Or just this fragile wall
That will shatter
With one word from us.
One word that I wanted to hear
One word that you needed to say
That was left unspoken
On the green fields that day.
Images blur in front of our eyes
Speaking thousands words at once
Acknowledging the wide hole
Still left within our souls.
All the time we spent
Avoiding the calls
Burying ourselves in the
Compartment of silence so forlorn.
Now I think, why didn't I wait?
Why you never called me back?
Our actions played like a movie scene
Or was that my wishful thinking?
A small smile graced our lips
Cherishing memories so bliss
A final call is heard by us
Is it the plane leaving or our life's climax?
