"And you're sure this is safe." Peter asked dubiously, looking at the open mechanics that made up the two machines. Peter had been expecting whatever Stark came up with to be somewhat sketchy looking, but to be honest, this looked like he'd pulled the pieces out of a junkyard and thrown them together to create something that generally mimicked the look of an MRI machine.

"100% safe, probably. It should get you both into your rightful bodies." Tony said, Peter and Tom exchanging worried glances. At this rate, they both didn't have much of a choice if they wanted to get back to their normal routines. Tom had a movie to film and Peter had a city to protect, they couldn't afford to be picky.

"If you kill Petey then I kill you." Wade said darkly, Peter letting out an indignant "Wade!" at the remark.

"Don't worry. If this kills Peter then I'd kill myself first." Stark muttered, handing each boy what looked like a high tech bike helmet.

"Nobody is killing anyone if I die. I trust Stark not to kill us." Peter hissed, not really having that much faith for Stark, but saying it out loud made him feel slightly better.

"Strap on those helmets otherwise the thing will fry your brain."

"I mostly trust Stark not to kill us." Peter amended weakly, strapping the helmet on with extra care. He really f$%#in hoped this worked.

"Now I'm going to inject this into your bloodstream, and it won't do anything but make your blood vessels more visible to the machine," Stark stated, holding up a fancy looking syringe filled with a light blue liquid, the Stark trust meter falling further and further down into single-digit percentages.

"I swear to god Tony if you kill me, I will kill you." Peter squeaked, holding his arm out and looking away as Tony went to shoot whatever the liquid was into Peter's blood. Usually, when Stark used him as a guinea pig Peter would ask questions, but at this rate, he really didn't want to know.

"Now, when the machine does its thing, it will put you both in a temporary comatose state when it places both your consciouses in their correct bodies. After a couple of hours, you should both wake up from that state. You'll both be fine, but I'm giving you a fair warning now." Stark said as he injected the weird blue fluid into Tom's arm as well.

"You realise how shady this sounds, right?" Tom asked, looking between Stark and Peter nervously. "We should be fine I think." Peter tried to reassure him, but he knew he was just a step away from panicking himself, he couldn't exactly reassure Tom at this point.

Peter trusted Stark a lot, in fact, with everything the two of them had been through, you would think Peter would trust him less. But with everything that happened to them over the past years, he and Tony Stark had achieved some sort of familiar-bond between them, and Tony had proven it when he'd been there in times when Peter needed a dad. Of course, he would never be his Uncle Ben, or his biological dad, but Tony had been there when other people couldn't, and that alone was enough to give Peter the faith he needed to strip off his shirt and don the heavy vest that would protect him from whatever dangerous rays the machine emitted.

However working up the courage to get on the table was a whole different thing, Peter almost worried that he would have a panic attack before anything actually happened.
