———Cross's POV———

"Aw thanks! What's your name?" Ink had asked me and I responded with a simple-

"Just call me Cross,"

"So, how do you think of New York?" He asked rather excitingly.

"Well, other than top notch security at the airport, I'm surprised an assassin has come into your country," he looked rather embarrassed as I took time to look at him clearly. He had a tanned shirt with brown khaki trousers. He had these tiger striped shoes with several colours on the side of his belt; including a gun which was hidden. He had a paint splotch on the side of his face and he had multicoloured eyes like me.

He doesn't seem suspicious to me Cross

I silently nodded, trying to avoid attention at me for speaking to someone they can't see.

"Ha. Well, it seems that this assassin has been hiding undercover with a complete different technique," he responded.

"Ah. That sneaky bastard would obviously do things like that," I complied. That assassin always annoys me with his stupid remarks. Wish they allowed me to kill him.

Just as I was busy thinking of ways I could kill him, someone else walked into the room. He had a white buttoned shirt with a red scarf which hung behind him. He also was bleeding as I saw blood coming from his mouth. He quickly wiped it and came in. The glitches around him sizzled and the one covering his eye was a mystery.

Oooh! That one looks mysterious! His aura feels rather familiar...

I agreed with Chara there. There was something about his aura which seemed pretty familiar. Something that has been lost for a while...

"Hey Geno! What brings you here?" Ink said. Huh. So this is the Geno they talked about.

"I was gonna say that Error's little gang is heading towards the square. Pretty sure they are going to do a mass genocide as usual," he said before looking at me. That was when it hit me.

He has determination. Kill him Cross

I grabbed onto the handle of my knife and swung it forward, aiming directly at him. He saw this and his eyes flared blue and red before disappearing. Ink was obviously shocked and the boss stepped back. I heard the sound of a teleportation as I whipped my head around.

"WHAT. THE. HELL," he looked at me straight in the eye.

"You have un- you have something I want," Stupid Chara always messes things up. He was a little shocked when the eye light changed happened, along with the voice change but that didn't make him flinch. He just smiled before teleporting again.

Chara looked around while Ink pulled out his gun.

"Whoever you are, get out of Cross, NOW,"

"Sorry. I'm stuck with him so you have to deal with me too," Chara blabbered. Of course, Chara would mention that but I easily took control and held my hands in the air.

"Sorry for this racket but I did mention in my statement file about Chara. It seems like your friend there has something Chara lost a long time ago," I quickly responded, trying to act natural. The red scarfed skeleton looked at me, pissed off.

"That doesn't mean I stole whatever IT wanted..." he replied cockily. Chara was blabbering curses at him while I try to shut him up.

"Well in that case, how are we supposed to do the job when you and Geno can't go anywhere near each other without having to provoke Chara," Ink asked.

"Don't worry. I'll keep him under control for now," I said. Geno looked at me with a 'really' look. Ugh. Because of Chara, I have to deal with two people giving me negative remarks.

"Well, onto the reason why you're here. There was a supposed assassin loose in our state and he or she slipped under your nose," Ink asked

"Yes. He managed to escape before I got to him. I suppose allowing me to see your state cameras and online resources would be a great start,"

"Ah. That means you're gonna.have..to...ask....Geno," Ink said as he gradually slowed down to say the name I hoped it wasn't going to be.

"Great. Let's get to work then," Geno commented as he walked out of the room.

Oh well. Here we go.

Great. Oh fan-fucking-tastic. Now that idiot Cross is here? When can he finally learn to give up and go back to your country. Killing hundreds of people isn't a crime so what does he have on me? And now the red scarfed skeleton is going to find me pretty easily as I've seen his past records. One of the top officers in the technology department, he's going to backtrace my hacks.

I jump down the building as swiftly as I could and dialled a number on my phone.

"Hello?"

"Hey Error. Mind if I bunk with you guys at your base? I'm going to get caught," I said quickly.

"Sure. Come along. The others would be pleased to meet you. We've just came back from a little raid in the square," he said sarcastically. I very well knew that they didn't like newcomers but I have to deal with it.

As I arrived to the entrance of their 'secret base', I knocked on the door loudly then waiting for an response. The door opened and I was greeted by a skeleton with black tears from his eye socket. He looked at me shocked before holding out his knife.

"Who the fuck are you and how did you find us?" He said threateningly.

"Just someone who you'll know and love," I said before walking past him and heading towards their living room. There I was met with a bunch of surprised skeletons.

"Who the fuck are you?" The goopy one asked. Hm. Nightmare never learns.

"You should know me well, Nightmare," I replied. He gave me another death glare. Huh. I thought that was my specialty. Thankfully Error came just in time.

"Oh hey. You came surprisingly early," he commented.

"Error who the fuck is this guy?" The skeleton with dust all over his hoodie spoke.

"His name is-"

"I think I'll introduce myself. Thanks Error. Hello..."
