--- Fell's POV ---

After mentioning my name to those delinquents, I ran off to find the other light source since there was only two. Another reason was that I don't trust that small gang at all, not after one of them tried to kill me. As I caught up to the beige scarfed skeleton, I quickly tapped his shoulder to grab his attention. He bolted around to see me, then calming down.

"You gave me a fright there," he said.

"Sorry. I've never been out of here for a long time. Guess I lack in social skills," I slightly chuckled. He looked at me with concern but brushed it off.

"That's fine. My name is Ink, head of the police department. The one wearing black and white is Cross, a transfer officer from Australia and the red scarfed one is Geno, an undercover police officer," He replied in a cheerful tone. He seemed like a nice guy.

"O-Oh. My name is Fell and uh.. I have a brother called Red? I haven't seen him forever..." I silently trailed off, memories flashing before my eyes. I didn't realise that I was blanking off until Ink was waving his hands over me.

"Your brother is Red? That name somehow sounds familiar..." Ink replied with a hand on his chin with clear confusion on his face.

"Hey Ink! We arrived at the exit!" Cross silently shouted over to us. I looked back to see the delinquents quietly muttering to themselves and looking over creepily. Not wanting to have eye contact, I quickly turned around as Geno opened the hatch. We all carefully got out of the hatch as the skeleton with black tears closed it again. Then it was another staring contest between them and us.

"So, I guess this is where we go out separate ways?" Cross quietly said. Unfortunately, that wasn't what they were thinking at all. I could see the tar-covered skeleton's tentacles slowly twitch as three of the skeletons were bringing out their weapons.

"Sorry Ink. Promises are meant to be broken," the glitching skeleton said. I didn't understand what promise they were talking about but I know that the officers were angry.

"You can't do that!" Cross shouted.

"We helped you get out!" Geno exclaimed after him.

"Yeah but you made us suffer. Now it's time for you to pay," the skeleton with a broken skull said in a deep voice. That's when blue strings came out of the glitching skeleton's finger tips surrounding us.

"No escape.." he said. By instinct, I moved my hand on my waist to grab the pocket knife that we all have for safety. I gave a slight nudge to Ink who looked down to see the knife. He quickly nodded at me before taking a paintbrush strapped on to his waist. I immediately went behind to cut the strings open and all hell broke loose. They started to attack us. Cross quickly took out his knife and sliced some of the strings open as I helped him with the other strings. Once a path was clear, Cross shouted.

"The coast's clear!" he said as he booked it out of the area. I ran after him too with the other two behind me. They were right on our heels and we were running as fast as we could. They were slowing down or we were going faster.

"Over there!" Cross pointed as I could see an illumination coming through the forest. As we came closer we saw a fence blocking the way. Cross got over the fence while Geno simply jumped over the fence with ease. Guess that's an advantage of being undercover. We stayed there for a good hour until we heard the voices of the delinquents.

"They disappeared!" One of them screeched.

"They didn't! They're probably hiding!" the glitchy skeleton spoke.

"Oh how so. Last time Geno came in, you both disappeared. Teleportation idiot," the tar-covered skeleton spoke.

"Let's get them next time. Now we need to find a place to stay," another unknown voice spoke.

"How about Red's? Maybe he'll let us bunk for a while," another one said.

"Fine. Let's go," the glitchy skeleton said again before we could hear the crunching of leaves breaking as they walked away from the site. I finally let out the air that I was holding without knowing.

"That was really close," Ink muttered.

"Yeah. Really close," Cross continued. I thought the commotion was going to wake up the nearby houses but thankfully it didn't. Well, the house we were next to did turn on their lights. The sound of the front door creaked open to reveal another skeleton I haven't seen before. He had a white jumper on with basketball shorts, looking half asleep. As soon as he saw four skeletons crouching behind the fence, he looked at us warily.

"Uh...hello?" he asked.

"Sorry. We're hiding from someone," I blurted out.

"O-Oh. Um. You guys can come in," he said as he stood to the side of the door, showing the way in. We looked at each other for confirmation but I walked inside. I haven't seen other places other than the mansion so everything will be new.

The house was small but fit for someone to live in. The hall was warm and cozy and the mahogany stairs led up to where the supposed rooms were. Straight ahead you could see the reasonable sized kitchen. Overall it was a comfy place to live.

I looked back to see the other three joining the stranger's house. There were still on the edge on whether we should trust him but he gave a vibe which was foreign to me. Something I didn't feel in a long time...

"So uh. Who are you guys?" he asked with a laid back tone.

"My name is Ink. Head of the police department downtown?" Ink explained.

"Ah. You're from that side of New York," he replied.

"My name is Cross. I'm a transfer officer. That there is Geno. Also an officer," Cross said, not mentioning Geno's real job. That made me thinking on why I was told about him. Maybe it slipped out of Ink's introduction.

"And you," he said turning to me. I took notice of his pearl white eye-lights looking straight into mine's giving a sense of warmth? Where am I getting these feelings?!

"U-uh Fell. My name is Fell and I'm not a police officer like them," I quickly stuttered.

"Well it's nice to meet you all. My name is Sans. But you can call me Classic."
