Part 15

All the pairs were asked to wait in the class in the games period as Lochan sir had some instructions.

Lochan sir: Aap logon ko apne classes, assignments aur practicals ke saath saath ab se aur bhi bahut kuch karna hai.

And he distributed a list of things that they would have to work on and prepare during the next few weeks. Every pair was handed a list.

Lochan Sir: Har ek jodi kuch teen se paanch kavitayen, gaane aur kahaniyan taiyaar karengi. Uske saath saath teen debate ke topics bhi diye gaye hai. Uske alawa quiz ke liye, samanya gyan aur sansamayik ghatnaon ka gyan bhi lena hoga.

Sameer's brows furrowed and he leaned slightly towards Naina: Yeh ab kya lena padega? Dekho Naina, mujhe dawaii lena pasand nahi hai, pataa hai na tumhe?

Naina: Dawaii nahi leni! Samanya gyan matlab general knowledge aur samsamayik ghatanein matlab current affairs...Hume inki bhi tayyari karni hai...

Sameer mouthed an ohhh and drew back his attention. Meanwhile, Lochan sir had continued that they will also be trained for dance and drama. Also, the cricket team selections would happen soon and the team would begin rigorous training under Sports sir.

Lochan sir: Har ek team ko har ek kshetra mein taiyaari karni hogi, fir hum school mein selections karenge aur aakhri dou teams ko interschool ke liye tayyar kiya jaayega. Aur dou teams milakar humara school harr competition mein hissa le paayega, taaki zyaada se zyaada jeet mile. Aur jo school sabse zyaada jeet haasil karega wahi state level ka vijeta hoga. Iss sabse school ka naam toh roshan hoga hi, aap sabke vyaktitva ka bhi vikas hoga. Aap log wo saari cheezen bhi karenge jo shayad kabhi sochi bhi na ho ya karne ki koshish bhi na ki ho. Toh aap sabko all the best! Aur haan, iss sabke beech mein kisi bhi bachche ki padhayee ka nuksaan hota hua nazar aaya, toh use fauran competition se barkhaast kar diya jaayega, toh dhyaan rakhiye ki padhayee bhi saath saath chalti rehni chahiye. Sameer started to read the list and panicked for a minute that there were umpteen things to do and time was limited. Naina gauged his reaction and gave a slight smile and he looked up at the same time.

Sameer: Iss list ke hisaab se toh hume kitna kuch karna hai, wo bhi kitne kum waqt mein aur padhayee bhi karni hai, aur mujhe cricket team mein selection ke liye practice bhi karni hai, aur tum hans rahi ho? Kaise hoga yeh sab?

Naina pacified him: Sab ho jaayega Sameer, tum chinta mat karo.

Sameer: Par kaise?

Naina: Abhi chemistry practicals hai...uske baad hum ghar jaane se pehle ek time-table banayenge, jisme hum saari cheezon ke liye alag alag samay denge, hamari roz ki padhayee aur tumhari cricket practice ke liye bhi aur saare kaam theek se baant lenge. Fir kisi ek pe saara boj nahi aayega aur hum samay par saari tayyari puri kar lenge.

Her calm demeanor inspired Sameer and washed away his panic. He knew that now with Naina to help and guide him, he could do anything and everything, and he would make sure to not disappoint her. He would be completely dedicated to the task at hand and by the time the school would win, he would have also won her heart and place in her life forever.

With these thoughts he followed her to the Chemistry lab.

Chemistry sir: Naina-Sameer, abse tum log practicals bhi jodi mein karoge, tumhara table uss taraf hai. He directed them to a far corner of the lab by the window, which was slightly secluded, Sameer thanked his stars again that he might get tiny opportunities to flirt with her without raising suspicion and he could gaze at her unabashedly.

Diligently, both started working towards the practical, which was identification of a compound. Naina guided him and instructed at every step as it was hard for him to understand the manual written in Hindi. He too did as was told.
