"Oh my lands," I cry with laughter. "How can anyone be so stupid?"

"I don't know, but for Uriah it's pretty common." I have been Video Chatting with Tobias on 'Skype' for about an hour now. He was telling me a story about his best friend, Zeke's, little brother, Uriah.

"I can't wait until Christmas," I say. "It's my favorite holiday. This is by far my favorite time of the year." Today is December 10 and I am  definitely in the Christmas spirit.

"I know," he says. "I'm ready for Christmas break. School is stressful."

"Same!" I say. "If it wasn't for the fact that I want to get into a good collage and get a good job, I probably would've dropped out by now. But you know, I need an education."

"Sadly," he says quietly, causing me to laugh again. He looks at me through the computer. "Guess what happened today?"

"What?" I'm actually curious. I love hearing about things that happen in his life since I'm not there to experience them myself.

"Someone's internet friend surprised them in math class today. Everyone was clapping and saying, 'awe' when I honestly felt like crying."
I laugh at the fact that he somehow stayed seriously when say that.

"What? I'm serious." He starts to crack a smile, but tries to hold it back. "It's not fair!"

"You're right. I mean I see girls all the time with their boyfriends. They're either hugging, kissing, holding hands, or just being together. I just stare at them like a creep because I want that." I don't know why, but I can't stop the tears that fall from my eyes as I say this out loud. "Tobias, I want that so bad. Why do you have to live so far away?"

"Tris," he says softly. Right now is the softest I've ever heard him talk. It's like I'm fragile, and the smallest thing will make me break. "I want that too, baby. I would do anything just to at least see you in person. I know that one day we will have that. We just have to wait a little longer, no matter how hard it is."

"I know," is my only response. "You're amazing. You know?"

"You are too, babygirl. Don't forget that."

I put my hand on the screen of my computer, like it will go right through it and I could touch him. I don't know why, but it gives me comfort. He places his hand on top of mine, through the screen. This gives me hope. Hope that one day, we can actually hold hands. Even if it takes years.

A/N: LOOK I AM ALIVE. Sorry it's short, but I wanted to update.
