A World Of Ice And Snow

Perhaps within her twisted darkness
Lays a girl, scared and alone
Waiting for the day to come
When she can call a heart her own
And perhaps behind her skyhigh walls
Is a girl, alone and scared
Clutching pieces of a broken heart
Because a boy once said he cared
And perhaps she built a fortress
To keep the whispers out
So the people outside can't bother her
With all their screams and shouts
Perhaps she chased away the sun
To cast her castle under snow
To keep a frozen heart from thawing
And a river to stop its flow
For Perhaps within its sharkinfested waters
is a city made of gold
Filled with stories from her heart
That she'd rather keep untold
Perhaps she built herself a kingdom
To keep the voices locked away
To lock them in the dungeon
And not listen to what they say
Perhaps she's just misguided
A princess in disguise
Maybe it's all circumstance
That brought forth her quick demise
And perhaps all that I've said is true
But we will never truly know
For none of us can live
In her world of ice and snow
