I stay up late awake at night
Contemplating life
And wondering if I'll ever know
What it means to be alive
And in the dark corners of my room
Where my dreams once resided
My heart finally gave way
To the angry demons inside it
Now I'm stuck between an everlasting daydream
And a nightmare with no end
Trapped under a broken heart
That I still was yet to mend
