I went to the back of school where Leslie and I agreed to meet. I was really grateful for her help plus she's actually pretty cool. She agreed to help me pick a gift for Bella.
I went to her cause I know they've been friends since childhood meaning she knows Bella better than anybody else.
"Hey" I greeted when I saw her.
"Hello"
"I've saved 203 dollars"
"Shut up. Are you serious?"
"Yup"
She gave me a High five.
"That's great. We should head over to the mall today after school to check out what we can buy"
"Sure. I'm thinking about a dress"
"It can't be any dress. Bella's fucking rich. All her clothes are designer or custom made"
I sighed, running my fingers through my hair.
"What do you think I should buy then?"
"We'll figure something out"
"Thank you for everything"
"You're welcome. How did dinner go?"
"Horrible"
"Say no more. I'll get the full scoop from Bella"
I chuckled.
"You're a bunch of gossips. I'm sure She'll tell you everything"
Students started passing by. School is about to start.
"Let's head to school. I don't want rumors to spread about us" Leslie whispered.
"Exactly"
"Bella's suspecting already. I think she saw your message at the mall on Saturday when she was playing with my phone. She started asking weird questions"
"Like?"
"If we've talked and if we exchanged numbers"
I snapped my fingers in realization. It all made sense now.
"She thinks I'm cheating on her with you"
"She also thinks I'll betray her again"
"She asked if I would cheat on her on Saturday. She felt so insecure. Now, I know why"
"I changed your name on my phone to Partner"
"Really?"
She shrugged.
"Yeah. You're my partner in crime right"
I shook my head
"You're so stupid"
Bella
"She said that?" Amber gasped as she chewed her chips.
"Yup"
I narrated what happened at dinner to them. Our teacher wasn't in, meaning we have a free period.
"Wait, Damien is back. He's so cute" Tiffany sighed, dreamily fanning herself with her hand.
"Is that all you got from the story?" I asked in disbelief.
"What? He's hot. Since you're with Drew, I might as well take him"
The bell rang which I was happy for. We packed our things and went out of class.
I looked for Drew in the crowd of people. I haven't seen him or Leslie today.
