Leslie and I High fived each other. We were at the library counting money.
Most people were in class so I figured we should come to a quiet place where no one would notice us.
I sighed. I happily relaxed further in my chair.
"Just three hundred to go" she squealed.
"I can get that this week"
"Great. I've already ordered her gifts"
I arched an eyebrow
"Gifts? As in plural?
"Yeah. She's my best friend. She deserves the best"
"Thought you were broke"
"Well, my parents found out about what happened between Eric and I. I explained everything to them, apologized the they took my back. As soon as I got an allowance, I went to buy her a gift"
"I'm happy for you"
"Thanks"
''By the end of the week, I'll go to the store to pick up the dress"
"Alright. Wish you the best of luck"
"I'll need that"
"How did dinner go?"
I sighed.
"You wouldn't wanna know"
She laughed
"Horrible, wasn't it?"
"Very"
"That was what I expected. No offence. I mean, with you and Damien in the same room, things are bound to get messy"
"Tell me about it"

I tried to calm myself down as I stood in front of Damien's door.
I need closure. I need him to know that I'm with Drew now and that's not gonna change so he can stop all his crafty antics because they aren't going to work.
The butler opened the door.
"Hello, miss Martin"
"Hi. Is Damien in?"
"Yes. He's in his room"
'Thanks"
He shifted to the side to let me in. I entered then made my way up the stairs.
I could have easily used the elevator but I wanted to prepare myself for what was about to happen.
Damien isn't one to give up without a fight especially when it comes to something he wants. I remember one time I was in the tenth grade, Joshua; the son of one of my dad's colleagues liked me. I mean all boys liked me but his was pretty serious. Damien had him beat up by a gang and warned him never to get close to me again.
Joshua never talked to me since then. He even moved away from town out of fear
This reminded me about Drew telling me he got beat up by a gang the other day.
I doubt it was Damien because Drew said it was his fault. He said he saw something he wasn't supposed to.
But what if? Anyway, I'll figure that out later.
