Lilia's POV
• thursday december 25th 7:19am •
"Merry Christmas." Jaeden says, kissing my cheek.
"Merry Christmas to you too, Jae-Bae." I laugh.
He was such a cutie.
"C'mon, let's open presentsss!" I exclaim, standing up and holding my hand out to him.
"Only for you." He groans and takes my hand.
I pull and he rolls out of bed. He stands up and we walk downstairs.
My Mom was sitting at the fire sipping on her coffee.
"Merry Christmas Mom." I say, sitting down in a couch.
"Merry Christmas darling. Jaeden! Merry Christmas!" She says standing up and hugging Jaeden.
He smiles sweetly.
My Mom grabs a present out from under the Christmas tree.
She hands it to me and I hurriedly open it.
It was a the book Me Before You franchise.
"Mom! I love it, thank you!" I smile.
My Mom hands me more presents and gives Jaeden a few.
"Okay, so my present from me to you guys is at home." Jaeden laughs.
"Mines upstairs! I'll go get it." I say, running back to my room.
I grab a neatly wrapped present from under my bed and I take it to Jaeden.
"Here you are!"
He opens it and smiles widely.
I got him a beanie.
It was a funny beanie but I knew he'd like it.
"Thank you so much! I love it." He says, happily putting it on his head.
He looked adorable in it.

"Do you want to go see if your Mom is home Jae?" I ask.
"Yeah. Why not?" He sighs.
We walk out of my house and down the street.
We arrive at his house and I knock on his door.
I hear light footsteps approach the door.
"Hi Angela. Merry Christmas!" I say, handing her a tin of shortbread cookies.
"You too Lilia." She smiles taking them.
"Hi Mom." Jaeden says.
"Hello Mr." She says, pulling him in for a hug.
We were welcomed inside and we walk up to his bedroom.
"Here's your present." He smiles and hands me a card with string ties around it.
I take the string off and open the card.
2 tickets to 'Grease Live!' on Broadway.
"Oh Jaeden. Thank you." I say with tears filling my eyes.
"Anytime." He smiles.
I hug him tightly.
"I love you so much. Thank you for everything." I say, wiping tears from my eyes.
"I love you too Lilia." He says.
"Ugh, I need to go." I say breaking out of our hug.
"Merry Christmas." He says.
"You too Jae." I say walking out of his bedroom.

My phone rings, I immediately answer it and put it on speaker.
"Hello!"
"Hi Jae-Bae."
"You're in a good mood."
"Uh-huh. Anyway so what did you wanna talk to me about?"
"Well it's shitty but good news."
"Okay?"
"Well, you remember that movie I auditioned for a few months?"
"Yeah! Did you get it?"
"Yeah, but I'm leaving on New Years. I won't be back for my birthday or the trip to New York."
"Oh."
"Don't be upset. I'm sorry."
"No, no. It's fine. I-I get it."
"Please Lilia, I'm sorry."
"I've gotta go.
"Please Lil-."
"Goodbye Jaeden."
I end the call and hug my pillow. A few tears streak down my cheek.
Why was I so upset? When he was filming The Book Of Henry I was fine. When he was filming IT I was fine.
It made no sense to me.
