It's been a full year since Merida has been here and there still has not been any sign that her parents or anyone is coming for her. She knows this but refuses to believe they have forgotten or are not coming for her. I was kind of suprised when I woke up this morning and there she was in the kitchen with my dad talking about Dun Broch. Merida hadn't talked about it in 2 months. It made me sad that she still wanted to go home after all we've been through but she did have to go home at some point. I wasn't going to keep her here if she didn't want to be here.

Thankfully, my dad got used to Merida. For a while there I thought they'd never become friends. He was okay with her going places with me and doing things like climbing trees, training dragons, or even just playing around in the stables with the baby dragons.

I looked up at the celing as I was lying in my bed. I smiled to myself. Everything was going well...For now at least.
