" who? " I asked confused, I had never heard of this 'Obsidian' person

" Obsidian...is the only reason why....I gave up my mortality....he lied to my family....he..he changed his form to make us think he was someone to be trusted....he was the one to bring humanity to our planet... in the first place " tears were in Sonic's eyes as he looked at the red button as if it was the most interesting thing ever

" Obsidian is the god that manipulates the people of this planet, he turns them against each other, the last time he was free...." Tikal paused her sentence as she looked at My once before brother

" he manipulated my parents and Ivo's ancestor Elroy Robotnik, into becoming enemies, Elroy built a machine that could turn blood and bone into oil and steel, my father was killed when he attacked the palace, my mother got out with me and my siblings, but was visited by the Orical and told to separate us until the time was right " he said the word Orical with so much hate it made everyone flinch along with Chaos, Tikal and Nicole

" so, what exactly happened " shadow asked

" I'd rather not talk about it just yet, it still hurts, but I trusted, we trusted the Orical only for him to betray us " Sonic seethed

" he betrayed you, how and why? " Shadow asked, but sonic looked ready to punch him in the face, but luckily for him Amy changed the subject

" wait so me and knuckles are your grandkids?" Amy stated as she stepped back from the seem, Chaos, Tikal and Nicole looked grateful for Amy's question

" yes, but you should stop worrying about it Amy, we need to focus on finding Ivo and retrieving the emeralds " Sonic said in a tone that was unlike him

" but you still haven't explained everything " shadow butted in

" what is there to explain except for that I'm a immortal prince, that has watched thousands even millions of people die and that I lied to everyone I care about because I had to make sure the Obsidian Emerald had to be kept secret so that no one would ever be manipulated again " sonic growled as tears flowed down his cheeks, as everyone stared at him

" put that back rouge " everyone looked at rouge to see her wearing a guitar medallion, that was attached to a red ribbon, it had a few cracks on it as well

" half this stuff is worth millions though " Rouge countered

" yeah, well that's the last thing I have of my father, he died when I was a week old " he seethed, he never met his father

Rouge had a look of sympathy as did everyone else, sonic sacrificed everything to keep everyone safe, and has to keep this part of his life a secret

Suddenly there was a loud bang at the top of the temple

" NICOLE, WARP RING NOW " Sonic yelled in a panic

He was handed a small gold ring that could be mistaken by a wedding ring, he opened the portal and signalled everyone to go through, we did

When we got out we where shocked to see none other that Dr. Eggman himself, he was smirking wickedly, with all the Chaos emeralds and the master emerald, we saw sonic in his cloak again, but I could tell he was pale

There was a armada of robots unlike the others we faced in the past, and there in front of it all was Metal Sonic
