"They say that you see yourself.... before you die..."

____________•••____________

The line is long.

The crowds were too loud.

We were standing in between those thrashing and screaming people, who yelled names and cried in joy. They were in a line... but in huge crowds making the line seem more like my own heart monitor instead of a single straight line....

Sure I was exited too - but I was a bit more in a shock...

I was a black sheep out of the white crowd....

An outsider...

Everyone jumped up and down cheering but...

I didn't.

I just stood there frozen, clenching onto the VIP card that hung around my neck like a noose.

My heart was a bomb that was about to burst into flames.

I felt like the happiest person alive deep inside but I decided to not show my forbidden luck...

"(Y/n)? Are you okay?" My friend asked as he stood beside me, despite being seperated by a fence that prevented him from sharing my joy.

I turned to my friend, John. My face was expressionless.

"Y-Yeah, just in a slight shock." I barely whispered. I turned back around to face the closed entrance at the front. I was trying to see the person I came here for, despite him being the reason why I felt this way.

John just managed to chuckle, "Well, if you're shocked now, how will you be when you come back after meeting him?"

I smiled to myself, "I will be probably fainted before I even say my first word to him." I sighed and... suddenly dropped my smile, "I wish you could come with me..." I whispered.

I heard him release a sight as he frowned, "well... some things can't just be..."

I frowned too... my hands gripped tighter on the VIP pass.

John suddenly exclaimed cheerfully, "But hey! Don't be sad! You're still meeting -"

"-VIP users! Get ready!" Someone exclaimed at the front of this line.

My hands tembled...

"Okay, (Y/n), breathe - there's nothing to worry about. Breathe." John said as he placed his hands on my shoulders and spoke smoothly. My eyes finally met his and I managed to relax...

His blue eyes stared into mine reassuringly.

My voice and breath still shook, "a-alright."

He only smiled, "good."

...the line moved forwards slightly.

John looked down at the line for me and frowned.
I was at least the 10th person in the line.

John quickly faced me and smiled sadly, "alrighty.... I will be waiting for you outside if that's okay."
