John and I were sitting down at a normal cafe....

John didn't like Starbucks or any coffee in general...

He ordered a single piece of a cheesecake and I just picked a waffle....

People passed us through without a thought...

I sat there with my back professionally straight while I watched John vurnably eat his cheesecake.

He noticed my gaze though...

So he stopped chewing his piece and looked at me with a slight gulp...

I rose a brow at how comic he was...

What is this? A movie?

A cartoon?

I wish...

"Why are you staring at me?" John muttered almost worriedly.

I continued to look at him emotionless.

"What? Can I not look?" I spoke smoothly as I arched my brow at him.

He straightened out his posture.

"Actually no. Not until you tell me what the hell happened to you." He spoke seriously.

I remained still.

"Eat John, I need to go back home." I spoke sternly.

John placed his hands on the table.

"(Y/n) I can see the drastic change from you - Why can't you just tell me?-"

"WHY CAN'T YOU JUST SHUT UP." I spoke in a dangerously low tone.

The world froze.

John's face relaxed.

He looked down at his plate....

He slowly picked up his spoon...

His hand shook with anger....

He picked up the last piece of the cheesecake left and quickly shoved it in his mouth.

I looked at him questioningly but this once he did not look at me.

As if I wasn't even there.

He stood up as he kept his eyes low..

He roughly grabbed his summer jacket and stormed away from his seat, towards the exit door of the cafe.

I didn't care.

I just sat there without a blink or interest...

John left me alone.

... and I began to realise just how much I did not care...

I shifted in my seat...

What are you doing, (Y/n)?

I looked down at my hands on the wooden table...

My black sleeves of the blazer were capturing my skin from the warm sunlight...

I quickly glanced at the exit...

Yeah... John is gone...
