we walked down the stairs after deciding not to tell our parents yet, seeing as it just happened. as we reached the bottom step, we let go of each other's hand. harper was playing with a doll on the chair in the corner of the living room. she smiled once she saw me.
"tegan! come play dolls with me! please?" she asked, offering me a barbie. romeo rolled his eyes and chuckled.
"see ya later." he whispered in my ear before kissing me on the cheek after harper turned away. i went and sat on the floor below her and picked up the doll she offered, starting to speaking in my doll voice.
about 15 minutes later, victoria walked in with her bag in one hand and car keys in the other. she said she was going to take me home as they were going to drop brooklyn off at the airport. chloe has left a few days earlier for work and brooklyn was going back to school. i gathered my things and walked out to the car. i sat with romeo in boot (idk if you say boot in america but it's like the back 2 seats in a 7 seated car).
