Tegan

Now that the cat was out of the bag, Luca was trying his best to pamper and spoil me.

A few hours ago he mind-linked me to say he pushed his meeting up just so he could make it to my first official appointment.

Our wedding was in three days and my nerves were going crazy. I had all types of questions floating through my head. What if we are attacked before? What if my bump grows and my dress doesn't fit?
What if we're not prepared?!

There were so many things to worry about, but I wouldn't let this stress me out; I couldn't.

"Piper, come help me pick out an outfit for today!" I shouted immediately hearing little footsteps padding on the marble floor.

"Can I do your makeup too mommy?" She smiled widely showing her missing tooth that had just fallen out. "You know I don't wear makeup Babygirl." I stuck my tongue out at her.

"Ant does, but it doesn't really do anything." She dramatically sighed. Damn,

"Be kind, Piper." I reminded her.

"I don't like her! All she does is talk about you and daddy to her boyfriend when she thinks I'm not listening." She hopped on the bathroom counter facing me.

"What..." my thick eyebrows bunched together like slinky.

"Yeah; I don't think her boyfriend likes daddy, he only likes you." She innocently laughed, not weighing the gravity of the situation.

Pretending to laugh, I grabbed Piper under her arms placing her on the marble flooring. "Babygirl, why don't you have Maggie, Carolyn, Dave and Liam bring you to Amara's room!" I suggested. "You love playing with auntie Amara..." my voice wavered.

"Ok mommy." She smiled widely.

I trailed behind Piper until we reached my bedroom doors. "Could you guys bring her to Amara's room, straight there, nowhere else; please?"

"Sure dearie." Carolyn shot a straight line of a smile towards me.

"thank you." I smiled in return.

"My queen, I must stay here to watch over you." Liam gave a stern look. "That's fine. Dave, please get her there as soon as possible. And, please, please stay with her."

"Yes ma'am." He winked at me and I definitely winked back.

"Luca, there's obviously something going on! They need to be questioned, interrogation!!" I screeched pacing the floor.

"I agree, but we have to be smart about this, love. We have the upper hand, they think we're oblivious; let's keep it that way." He smirked embracing my growing stomach. "And no stressing, don't worry."

"You're absolutely right." I sighed.

"When am I ever wrong?!" He held his hands up, a cocky smirk permanently etched into his face. "Let's get you to your Appointment babygirl. Come on" he motioned.

"Ok." I breathed.

Hand in hand, we walked to Dr. Sherika's office.
"Are you excited..." I glanced up at Luca to see a wide smile plastered on his perfect face.
"Of course. It's a boy, I just know it." I was ecstatic to see pure joy on his face, in the midst of the hell we've endured.

"Good evening, your highnesses." She greeted as we walked in.

"My queen, if you could just lay down on the table and lift your shirt for me please..." her voice was commanding but gentle.

"As you know, the gel will be slightly cold." She spoke, shedding light on the routine-like tone in her voice.

As Dr. Sherika maneuvered the wand across my stomach, I glanced over to Luca. He was standing ever so close to me, his deep green eyes in a trance as he stared at his child. "There it is!" Dr. Sherika cheered while her eyes fixed themselves on the screen."

"So, Queen, you are 13 weeks; about 3 months... you're in the second trimester..." she stated. "Everything is going smoothly, are you experiencing any pain or anything unusual?" She eyed me, with something that I couldn't read burrowed in the back of her eyes.

I bit my lip trying to think about it. "No, nothing of that sort." I shot a small smile towards her.

"Ok then you should be good to go! ... Maggie has picked your vitamins up already." She spoke to me with hesitation while her eyes were on Luca.

Glancing back and forth between the two, I could tell they were communicating with one another.

My left hand resided on my hip. "Are YOU sure everything's ok? Why are you looking at him like that?!" My voice escalated as a result of frustration. Obviously they were talking about me, I deserve to know if something's wrong... I refuse to do this shit again.

"Yes, babygirl, have Dave and Liam take you back to bed. You need to rest." He rushed me out, having to practically pry my hands off the door.

"What's going on?!" I turned back around. "Everything's fine, stop stressing it's bad for the baby. Go. You need rest." He had a warning look plastered all across his features, as he added emphasis on his every word.

"fuck you." I spat, and briskly walking away I flipped him the bird.

"Tegan. Come back here!" He furiously shouted, though I was already around the corner and way too lazy to actually go back.

"What the fuck just happened." I whispered to myself so neither Dave nor Liam would hear me. My stomach dropped at the realization of what I'd done; pure guilt. Guilt at it's finest. Luca was only trying to help me and I was mean to him... Dr. Sherika too.

I'd have to make it up to him somehow; that is if he doesn't kill me the moment he sees me.

With in an hour of being inside my room, I finished some wedding things and managed to take 2 naps.

Just as the third nap began creeping up on me the door swung open to a tired looking Luca. My heart sank even more.

"Babygirl, babygirl ?!" He whispered in the dimmed lighting of our bedroom.

His phone beeped. "Mom?! Sorry it's late, but It's important. She had a check up today and because of her stressing about everything, she has mandatory bed rest..." he concluded.

"Yes, I'm not sure why."

"I assume you could, she'd love that."

"No...No, that's not all." He sighed. "Dr. Sherika has found something else in today's most recent ultrasound. She believes that she's found two more babies.
