Spider Boy

"I can do this." Peter spoke to himself as he and his best friend Ned walked into the home of Liz also know as his crush. "Come on Peter you got this. Just go talk to her." Ned said as the friends started to walk around the house.

"Hey guys I'm so glad you made it." They heard a cheerful voice. They turned to see Liz running up to them. "Cool party." Peter said as his palms started to sweat. He was so nervous to be talking to her. "Thanks. It's for my cousin. She just moved here." Liz said. Peter had thought this party was just for fun. "She's right over there." Liz said and pointed to the corner of the living room.

Sitting criss cross in the corner of the living room was a girl. She sat not doing anything except for people watching. She was like a wallflower. The mystery girl had brown hair that was tied up into a messy bun on the top of her head. Wisps of curly hair fell around her heart shaped face framing it. The girl wore black leggings with a large grey sweatshirt that had been cropped. Peter thought she looked pretty cute.

"Zaylee I have some people I want you to meet." Liz yelled to the girl. She looked up at her cousin then stood without a word and walked over to the group. "Guys this is my cousin Zaylee. Zaylee these are my friends Ned and Peter." Liz introduced the teens. "Uh hi." Zaylee waved at the two boys.

Now that she was closer Peter could see her features better now. She had very pale skin that was dotted with freckles, excpecally around her face. The girl had grey eyes with speckles of an icy blue. She was very short compared to Liz and probably short compared to most people anyway.

"Hey I'm Peter." Peter said with an awkward smile. Zaylee smiled showing off her dimples. "Hi I'm Ned. Nice to meet you Zaylee." Ned said in his normal happy self. Zaylee giggled a little at his happy personality. "You can call me Zay or Zee-zee. Whatever you want." She smiled.

"Zays going to be going to school with us starting in a few days." Liz started on a new topic. "Ya I'm hoping I can catch up on my studies." Zaylee said quietly as she wrapped her arms around herself. She never liked talking to people she didn't really know. "Hey well I'm going to go some where a little quieter. It was nice to meet you guys." Zay said as she waved goodbye.

As she left Peter felt bad about her leaving. He wanted to talk to her more. Learn more about her. Peter couldn't help but start to develop a crush on the mysterious girl that he had just met.

Liz had walked away to talk to other guests leaving Ned and Peter to fufill their plan to impress Liz with Spider-Man. But now Peter didn't really want to go through with it. He had to admit he still really liked Liz. But after meeting her cousin he couldn't help but develop a crush on her and still have one on Liz, just not as strong.

"Come on Peter just do it." Ned said trying to convince Peter to become Spider-Man. "I don't know man." "Do you want to be the uncool nerds forever. If not then go out on the suit. My hats not working. We need Spider-Man." Ned said pushing Peter to the back yard. "Alright fine." Peter said finally going to the yard.

No one was outside that he could see so he looked for a place to change. He looked up and saw that he could change up on the roof while still being able to see the backyard and party. Peter was about to jump into the roof when he heard a voice.

"Hey, Peter right?" He turned around and saw Zay. "Uh ya." He replied. "What are you doing out here?" She asked. She was expecting everyone to stay inside and enjoy the party. "Oh I just needed some fresh air." Peter lied. "Oh alright." Zay said and sat down on the grass. Peter hesitated but ended up sitting down next to her.

"So where do you live?" Peter asked trying to start a conversation. "I live in an apparent. It's kind of far from the school, which sucks, but I guess it's fine." She replied as she started to pick blades of grass. "Cool. I live in an apparent pretty close to school with my aunt." He said. Zaylee nodded.

"What's school like?" Zay asked Peter. "Well there's fun classes. Most people are nice I guess. But stay away from Flash. He's a real jerk." Peter said. Zaylee smiled. "Noted. Well I'm going to head home. Parties aren't really my scene. It was nice meeting you Peter." She said as she stood up. "Ya nice meeting you too. See you around." Peter yelled as she walked back into the house.

Once the girl was gone Peter jumped onto the roof of the house. He put on his suit. He was having doubts about doing this but he just had too. Right as he was putting on his mask he saw a big glow from far away. It was the same glow he saw when he was fighting the guys at the bank. He quickly put an his mask and ran after the bad guys thinking he'd have enough time to get back to the party.

Zaylee walked in the house leaving Peter outside. Once she found her cousin she told her she was going to leave. "Zee-zee don't go yet." Liz pleaded. "Sorry Liz I want to catch up on school work. Thanks for the party." She hugged her cousin goodbye then walked out the front door.

Zay walked down the street a few houses until she got to the right one. She walked behind a tree to find her bike. Liz had thought that her dad dropped her off at her house for the party. But her dad didn't want to so she rode her bike. It was a long ride but Zaylee didn't mind. It just means more time away from home.

She hopped on her old bike and rode to her apartment. It took her a while but eventually she made it home. Zaylee Locked up her bike then climbed up the fire escape to her window. She didn't want her father to see her. Zaylees dad was an alcoholic. When he was drinking he was very abusive. Over the years Zay learned to avoid him.

The girl slipped through the window to her small room. Quietly she closed the window. Once it was closed she walked over to her bedroom door that was slightly ajar and looked out of it. On the couch was her father. Thankfully he was passed out.

She closed the door quietly and got ready for bed. Zaylee was going to look for a job tomorrow. Then the next day was her first day of school. She was extremely nervous. But everyone was saying the kids were nice.

Zaylee tucked herself into bed. She looked out her window at the city lights until her eyes closed.
