Chapter 14: The Power of Training *Edited*

(Clemont's Pov)

After a while of being in Lumiose City, spending alone time with Angel has been great. We had our first date, we're getting more intimate...Man, do I love that woman more than anything. She's so beautiful, so smart and loving...I don't know what I did to deserve but I'm glad she's mine and whatever happens I will do everything I can to protect her.

When we met up with my father, Angel was quite nervous because well, she never really had parents to love and protect her like they should've so I can see why she scared to meet my dad...she had no one growing up...no one but her pokemon and her Guardians so she didn't know what to expect. I reassured her though that my dad would love her, I mean how can he not?

When they met, my father sure was shocked that I finally had a girlfriend given that I've never dated before but he loved Angel and well, so did I. I wanted her to see and to know that good parents do exist and that what she went through shouldn't have happened but I want her to know that not everyone was going to hurt or abandon her.

I mean sure, our mother passed away when Bonny was born but dad's always been there and yea, he works a lot but no matter what, he's done everything he can to make me and Bonny happen and while our father may be weird and a bit much at times, he's still our dad and we're family...

Once dad gave us the okay of staying well...home, I headed out to the hotel to get our bags. I felt kinda awkward and bad for leaving Angel there alone with him because I never know what my dad is gonna say but I'm sure it would be a good time for them to get to know each other and bond a little ya know? Plus, they seemed to have gotten along pretty well so far so that's a start right?

Once I came back with the bags, I put them up in my room while dad fixed us all breakfast. After that and dad going on and on about embarrassing me, it was still fun to see Angel laugh and smile...she was too beautiful ya know?

Once we finished breakfast, we helped clean up as dad headed off to work and I went to not only work on some inventions but train as well for when it's time to battle Ash. I decided to use my Magneton, Luxray and Heliolisk for when I'd be battling Ash.

Angel went and did her own thing while after I was done fixing up some inventions, me and my pokemon headed outback to train. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Angel watching me which made me smirk a bit. I decided to show off a bit to see how strong I am, which of course made Angel smile a bit.

After about an hour or so of training, it was getting hot and we were getting tired. Angel went and got us all water as we decided to take a short break. Angel's pokemon were inside relaxing a bit as we stayed outside and talked for a while. After that, I had enough training for one day as me and Angel and my pokemon headed back in the house and headed to the living room to relax.

We sat at the couch as our pokemon were scattered everywhere either sleeping or arguing. Angel was right by my side as I had an arm wrapped around her waist. She was petting her pokemon that were on her lap which were Fennekin, Nidoran and Purrloin. She rested her head on my chest which made me blush and smile softly while trying to find something to watch on tv.

After a while of watching random shows, I glanced down to see that Angel fell asleep. I couldn't help but chuckle softly as I turned down the tv and carefully shifted my position on the couch to where she was lying between my legs and was basically on top of me. It felt a little awkward at first but I made sure she was comfortable...I just hoped she wouldn't wake up to how loud and fast my heart was racing...

Seeing Angel sleep started to make me feel sleepy as well. A yawn couldn't help but escape my lips as I rubbed my eyes tiredly. I tried hard not to fall asleep but I guess that didn't happen as my eyelids grew heavy and I soon enough fluttered my eyes closed and fell asleep as well.
