Chapter Fifty Seven: Baby Names

" Oh my god, I can't even look once it comes."

I felt the anxiety build up inside of me at the idea of how badly I could of done on my final. The topic was to right a ten page essay on Romeo and Juliet and how it reflected the English language and views on romantic gestures. To my advantage, I wrote with hidden meaning of when Edward and I played our own Romeo and Juliet without even knowing. I very much told the story of how I had the love for Edward to save him from his so called suicide when he thought I was dead expressing how I felt through Juliet. Now that I think of it, it could be pure crap to my professor.

" How are you more nervous about your grades then growing a vampire baby ?" Bella asked staring at me like I had five heads while reclining on the couch rubbing my stomach on either ends since I was having pains.

" What if I failed ? I'll have to restart the course."

" I mean you'll have all the time in the world." Rosalie teased causing Alice to nod right by her side.

" It's not that." I groaned feeling my abdomen contract a bit." I'll be wasting money and Edward said he wanted to start paying for my college. I can't have him pay for a failed class. I feel sick."

" Okay, um." Bella said looking around and snapping her fingers." Let's talk about...baby names !"

" Baby names !" Alice cheered.

" Yes !" Rosalie shouted giving me her best puppy dog eyes." So I'm thinking Rosalie Jr."

In all honesty, I didn't know if she was joking or not and smiled while having wide eyes knowing as much as I loved Rosalie, I was not going to be naming my child after her. Bella and Alice seemed to agree having the same expression and looking back towards me.

" Have you thought of any names ?" Alice asked and I nodded my head.

" Yes."

" Really ? What ?" Rosalie asked and I smiled pulling a paper from in between my laptop with some boy names I had came up with since I had a feeling I was going to have a boy. I showed the girls the list and by the look of it, only Alice and Bella were pleased.

" Can't we come up with something just a little more classic ?" Rosalie cringed and I shook my head seeing the worry on her face, but I didn't know what for." There's no girl names. How about a girls name ?"

" I have a feeling I'm carrying a boy." I stated hearing Bella gasp a bit excited since she knew what it was like to have a baby boy. Jacob and Edward walked into the room and I smiled feeling my stomach hurt a bit, but ignored it." They make it out all right ?"

" Yeah." Jacob answered.

" Good." I said knowing what he did was a bit hard on him. Carlisle was feeling himself grow weak and when it came to the delivery of this baby, he needed to have the up game. Jacob had distracted half the pack breaking some friendships along the way and betraying his pack." Are you okay ?"

" Yeah, it's not like l'm the one carrying a demon." He teased causing me to give him the finger knowing I might be brittle, but I'll stick kick his ass.

" This is pretty important, Emma." Bella said holding up so I was standing, but something didn't feel right when doing so. It was like the baby had moved so sudden to the bottom of my stomach. I didn't want any of them to fuss and smiled over to my sister." Why don't you tell Jacob what you've decided ?"

" What now ?" Jacob asked in a suspicion and I laughed at his concerned eyes.

" Rose is attempting to converse Emma out of her baby names." Edward explained and I nodded my head looking over to my best friend.

"She hates them for no reason."

" Well, then l'm on your side no matter what you picked. You had a great name for your goldfish back in the day."

" Jake, pretty sure naming a goldfish Harry James Water is not good." Bella scolded giving me a smile at the memory." Or naming the other one Darth Baiter."

I shook my head looking over to the boys." They're not that awful. lf it's a boy I like Elias or Jonah" I said seeing the smile on both their faces."Elias Edward or Jonah Jacob. Depends on which one of you are nicer to me."

Their smiles had deepened and by both reactions I could tell Jacob was teasing Edward in his mind about something cause it caused him to laugh out loud and lightly punch his arm. Rosalie rolled her eyes giving me a light shrug.

" Okay, fine, that one's not awful." Rosalie admitted before beginning to bounce around." But you still have to pick one in case it's a girl."

" Fine. Edward, do you have girl names ?" I asked hoping he had good ones enough to pass by Rosalie's vibe check." Rosalie is forcing me to think of some if it is a girl but I got nothing."

" Serenity Esme." He blurted out before I could even finish talking. He smiled brightly shrugging his shoulders a bit embarrassed." or Hope Renee."

A smile came onto my face knowing he had been thinking about the baby like I had even coming up with some names. Elias or Jonah ? Serenity or Hope ? We did come up with some good baby names given being first time and last time parents.

" lt's beautiful."

" And it's unique." Edward stated." Which certainly fits the situation if you ask me."

I turned to Rosalie slowly brushing off my shoulder." He likes it the boy names."

" Whatever you say."

" Emma !" Bella shouted racing over with my laptop." Your grades are up."

My heart sank once again and I looked up to Edward knowing the he knew how much this mean't to me. He nodded his head from across the room.

" You are intelligent. Don't even doubt yourself and no matter what the grade is, there is always potential in failure."

I nodded my head turning to the computer in Bella's hand and opening the message. It loaded for a bit and I mentally cursed for such slow internet when the grade came right before me. I gasped loudly gripping the laptop and feeling the tears come to my eyes.

" Emma ?"

" 96." I announced smiling over to my husband." I got a A and a 4.0."

" Congrats !" Bella cheered hugging me close to her body and I hugged her back feeling all the nerves fade away and replaced by satisfaction. I passed my first semester of college and with a vampire baby while at it.

I turned around about to walk to Edward when black dots entered my vision. I frowned hearing a ringing in my ear and stopped noticing the change in my body. Blood gushed down my leg and I started to bend over to see when a powerful sharp pain caused my spine to be thrown back. I blood hurled scream escaped my mouth and I cringed at the sudden pain falling to my knees. At the contact, my knees had cracked and I felt the shards of bones poke out me me, but it all ended with darkness coated my vision.

May I just say, Poor Emma 😭 All she wanted was to name some baby names and pass her class only to end up in a gruesome pre-labor. Our poor girl has been through so much.
