Why Did He Have to Go? ~A Piper and Jason Fan-Fiction

Chapter Ten

"Jason!" I screamed, "You really don't want to do this!"

For a second he looked normal - his wind blown sandy hair adn icy blue eyes - but then he got his expression under control. He had an evil smile that said Hey, Piper, guess what? I'm going to kill you, and then just for fun, I'm going to kill the annoying latino elf and then the others! Isn't that great?!

No, Jason, it's not great.

I didn't have time to tell him before he whipped out his sword. He cut my leg. "Let's save the best for last," He said whil making cuts all around my visible skin. He ripped trough my Camp Half-Blood shirt sleeve and it was tehn a half tank shirt.

Annabeth came right as he put his sword to my neck. She was in her pajamas, but ready to fight. 

"Back off," She said, her dagger at ready.

Jason laughed and put down his sword. I don't remember what happened after that, because I blacked out from all of the blood I was loosing. The next time I woke up I was in my room with Annabeth bandaging my arm. It was still night, so I suspected I hadn't been out long. Unless this was a different night.

"Piper," She said, "How do you feel?"

I closed my eyes and tried to think. How did I feel? "Lightheaded," I managed, "Painful."

Annabeth held my hand.

Leo and Hazel came in. They came over to me. "Wow, beauty queen," Leo said, "How'd you manage to let Jason cut you so many times?" He shuddered, as if thinking how it would feel.

I gave him a look. "Don't call me beauty queen."

He put his hands up in mock surrender, "Okay, fine! Just call me if you need me."

Leo left with his arms still up, but Hazel stayed. "So, it's true?" She asked, "Jason really did show up, and hurt you guys."

I looked at Annabeth, "He hurt you, too Annabeth?"

She held out her arm and pulled up her jacket to reveal it was bandaged at her elbow. "Not much, but when I tried to get him, he vanished into mid-air."

I reached out to touch her arm, but didn't make it very far before my arm hurt incredibly. I winced and Annabeth help me put it back down.

"What time is it?" I asked. Hazel looked at the clock.

"Almost six in the morning," She said, "We can see the sunrise if we go out to the main room."

Annabeth looked at me, "Are you up for it, Piper?"

"Why not," I said. It was a little hard standing. I felt dizzy just sitting up. When I stood teh cut on my knee burned. I had to jump in the room with my right leg up.

"The next time we pass over a town we're having Leo get you some cruches," Annabeth said. I nodded my agreement.

They sat me down on the couch and I didn't move until we got to Michigan. Annabeth and Hazel told Leo to go get me some cruches, and he came back with them and cheese curls.

"Leo!" Annabeth and Hazel said at the saome time. Hazel smacked him.

"What?" Leo asked, "We needed some more cheese!"
