Break up

~Jonah~
I woke up to a text from my mom.

Mom: Hey, Look I need a break from life. I will be gone for a while.
Me: wait what do you mean?
Mom: I'm sorry. I might never come back.

I could t believe what she just told me. I couldn't sit here. I had to talk to Jonah.

Jonah❤️: Hey y/n. Can you come over?
Me: Yeah. Omw.

I got dressed and headed to his house. I looked at the sky and saw that it was raining. More like pouring. I got in my car as fast as I could.

I drive to Jonah's house and knocked on the door. He answered and stepped outside.

"Hey. Sit down." Jonah motioned for me to sit next to him on the porch.

We sat down on the front porch and talked. For a while.

"Remember when we got caught in the rain at that football game?" Jonah scooted his chair away from me.

"Yeah. You looked cute in the rain."

"Look. I have to tell you something. My family is moving. And long distance relationships don't work."
He looked at the ground.

"What are you saying?" You stood up.

"We have to break up. I don't want to but I don't want this to go south." He stood up next to me.

"Jonah we can make this work. Please."
I stepped closer.

"I love you." He kissed me on the forehead and pushed me away.

He went back into his house and left me out there. Alone. In the cold rain.

I went over to my car crying. I looked in the window and saw my reflection. I sat on the ground and starred at my car.

"Why?!" I hit my car door.

I took my anger out on this car. Jonah heard and came outside.

"Y/n. What is wrong."

"Are you serious?" I stood up to look at him.

"You just broke up with me. And on top of that I got a text from my mom saying she won't be back home anytime soon!" I hit my car.

"SHE LEFT ME HERE!! ALONE!!" I slid down the side of my car until I sat on the ground.

I started sobbing. That's all I could think to do. I couldn't tell if my sweatshirt was soaked with tears or rain.

I felt arms wrap around me. I turned Into face Jonah and buried my head in his chest.

"I don't want to be alone." I sobbed more.

"I know. I'm sorry."

We sat there for a while.

"I should get home." I got up and started to get in my car.

"Wait." He grabbed my arm. I turned to him.

"Can you spend the night?" He pulled me to him. I couldn't say no. I think we both needed each other tonight.

"Yeah."

We walked inside and got into dry clothes.

I didn't have Jonah for long but I was going to make the most out of what I have.
