I answered the phone not even thinking.

Alex: whoa whats wrong

y/n: wha nothing

Alex: you dont just cry for no reason

y/n: look i gtg

Alex: wai-

I hung up the phone. I dont know what to do. I feel like such a terrible person.

Alex's POV
That was weird. Why was she crying? maybe cuz of her mom she probably just needs some time.

A couple days later (last day in Cali)

Alex: yo carlos

Carlos: ye

Alex: i just remembered tommorows Ck's birthday. We gotta throw a heelllla lit parttyy

Carlos: factsss hes gonna be 17 so it has to be perfect.

Alex: so after we get back to nevada me and you need to go straight to my house aka where its gonna be

Carlos: alright

Alex's POV
That day we went to the movies, the beach, an amusement park, and we played fortnite (typical). We got onto the plane and headed back to Nevada.

Y/n's POV
I havent talked to Alex since the facetime :(. He texted me a few times but our conversations feel almost awkward.
Ive been hanging with Brandon a lot more than before lately. Today im hanging out with Brandon at the movies.
I got up, took a shower and put on a white crop top and navy blue jeans.

Brandon: You ready?

Y/n: ya

Brandon: ill pick you up in 10?

y/n: okay

when i was hanging out with Brandon the past few days it seemed like there was some tension but it seemed like he didnt mind. I get up and look in the mirror. Even though i put on makeup you can still still i havent been sleeeping well. The hospital calls and tells me that my mom succesfully went throught the surgery and is coming home soon but she cant drive so im gonna need to pick her up. But i dont have a car.... maybe alex or brandon could help. I hear a knock on the door, grab my phone and head down the stairs. I open the door and instead of Brandon being there its Alex.

Alex: hey *i hug her*

Y/n: hey

Alex: Are you going somewhere?

Y/n: to the movies then im gonna pick up my mom from the hospital.

Alex: oh do you think they would mind if i came with?

Y/n: ya... it was just gonna be us two

Alex: who

Y/n: Brandon..

Alex: ...

Y/n:  remember i made it clear were jsut friends

Alex: okay.. have you beeen crying

Y/n: no...

Alex: you look really tired

Y/n: im fine

Alex: okay.. do u want me to go to the hospital with you to pick up your mom?

Y/n: ya that would be great. thank you, sorry if im being kinda bitchy rn

Alex: its okay and by the way tommorow its Ck's birthday tommorow and were all meeting up to plan it later today

Y/n: ya ill be there.
