From Bad to Worse

I made myself breakfast and was about to get some milk from the fridge when I spotted a note.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't want to disturb you but I've gone to Canada on a business trip, I'll be back in 3-4 days, love mum x"

I scrunched up the note and threw it in the bin, then I went back to eating my cereal

I placed my bowl in the sink and walked up the stairs only to be stopped by my dad

"Yn, I just want to talk" my dad said

"We can talk later" I brushed past him and went to my room to get dressed

I wore acid wash jeans and a plain white t-shirt with Timberlands

I got my keys and my phone and headed over to Miah's house

I knocked and waited, Miah came to the door already fully dressed

"Hey" she said

"Wanna go carnival?" I asked

"Yeah, let's go but aren't we gonna get the others first"

"Yeah, you go to Paris and Cruise's house and I'll go to Tyler's and Joshua's they're probably all dressed, I'll meet you at the carnival"

We went our separate ways and gathered everyone to meet up at the carnival

I hugged everyone and walked in holding Joshua's hand

From 10:45-3 we stayed at the carnival, we took part in games, squealed on rollercoasters, watched people pass by at the top of the Ferris wheel, but our fun was cut short due to fights. On top of that a ride broke down but however while we were there Joshua won me a massive white teddy bear with a bright red heart in the middle with "I love you" imprinted on it, we all had a good time.

Malakai and Miah were "too scared" to go on some of the rides, well that's what they told us anyway, but I know when Malakai's lying, we all know they weren't scared.

"I need to go home quick" I said

"Why?" everyone asked

"Don't question me niggas" I laughed and got in the car with Joshua

Joshua drove me home "I'll wait outside" he said

I walked into the house and no one was downstairs but I started hearing noises so I walked upstairs to my mum and dad's room

"Dad, are you alright" I said

He didn't reply, so I opened the door and I swear I flipped out

"DAD" I screamed

"Yn, it's not what it looks like" he replied, hanging his head in shame

I looked at the woman next to him, she looked at me and smiled, bitch

"Get out" I screamed louder, my scream must've been loud because Joshua came running

"Yn, what's the-

He stopped talking and looked at my dad in bed with another woman, before I knew it I pounced on my dad and was hitting him, harder and harder with every punch

"Yn, stop" Joshua ordered and pulled me off of my dad, he was too strong and I couldn't get out of his grip, so I just gave up and cried into his chest

"Why dad?" I shouted at him with mascara running down my face

"Yn, I-

"Just get the fuck out and don't you ever EVER come back and YOU" I said as I walked up to the woman

I looked at her and dragged her by her hair out of the bed, I kicked her in her face and I would've done more but Joshua rushed over to me and took me out of the room, I kicked and screamed, throwing a tantrum as Joshua placed me on my bed

"Yn, you need to calm down" he said holding my arms

"How can I calm down Joshua? Please tell me" I cried

"Go sit down" he said

I dropped my head down and bawled into my pillow as I heard Joshua talking to my dad.

"Get out, you've done enough damage as it is, your daughter is in their crying her eyes out and I don't think she wants to see you right now" Joshua told my dad

"I have to talk to my daughter" he replied back

"Don't" Joshua warned him

My dad came through my door

"Daughter-

I turned to him "I'm not your fucking daughter, just go" I said and threw the nearest shoe I had at him

It missed him, sadly. He walked out in shame, I started crying into my pillow again.

"It's okay baby" Joshua claimed, then he sat next to me and stroked my hair

"Really?" I asked, sarcastically

"I'm just trying to help" he got up

"Well don't"

He didn't reply, he just continued to stroke my hair and occasionally rub my back.
