Clover's POV:

"There was a box of pizza sitting on the table, and I knew it was meant for me. It was meant to be my dinner, but I couldn't think of eating right now. I wasn't hungry. "What's going on?" Will asked me curiously as they both walked into the room. "You two might wanna sit down for this. It's pretty heavy." I said, and they followed my instructions. We sat down at the little round table at the exact same time. I couldn't back down now... I couldn't chicken out and tell them "Never mind, let's just watch a movie." This was real and they needed to know now, because if I didn't tell them my mind and body wouldn't be able to take it. I took a deep breath and prepared to to tell them the horrible, bitter, and shocking truth."

"As you both know, I went to visit my uncle and a couple of his friends tonight." I started. The both of them had curious and slightly worried expressions on their faces. Each of them nodded to let me know they were following me so far. I took a deep breath before I continued. Trying to get all of this out felt like I was trying to fight gravity. "Victor's friend just so happens to be Dr. Max Waters, Will's best friend. I thought we were just going to hangout and talk and everything would be fine. I'd come home and tell you this fact and it'd all be over... but that's not everything." I said, running a hand through my hair. "What is it? What happened?" Oliver asked me curiously with furrowed brows. "Evelyn was there." I said, glancing up at Will. "Really?! That's amazing!! What did she look like? How was she? Did she mention me at all?" He asked quickly and curiously. A thousand different emotions were swimming around in his beautiful eyes, but the dominant one was joy. His reaction just made everything a million times worse. What I was about to say seemed to kill me. It felt like someone jabbed a knife into my stomach and was trying to rip out my heart at the same time. "That's... that's not all." I said, fighting back tears that threatened to escape the brims of my eyes. "What do you mean?" Will asked me curiously as his smile faltered. "She... she at least has been alive and living for at least two years." I said, feeling my heart spasming inside of my chest. "What makes you think that?" He asked me curiously. Oliver just sat in silence so he could soak everything in and hear every single word. There wasn't much he could say anyway. I was basically telling all of this to Will, but I wanted both of them to hear this. I didn't wanna keep any secrets from either of them. "Because.... oh, god." I said, covering my face with my hands as the tears broke free and slid down my cheeks. "What? Tell me?!" Will said urgently. "Her and... and Max they.... they're married. They've been married for two years." I managed to choke out before my throat dried up completely and started spasming. All of the emotion drained from his features and I swear I could see his heart and soul crumbling as I looked into his eyes. He opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out so he closed it. He brought his elbows up onto the table and rested his head in his hands as he tried to comprehend what I had just told him. "No.... no..... no, this.... s- s- she... she wouldn't." He said as he put his arms down and looked directly at me. "Please.... please tell me that isn't true." He pleaded as tears filled his eyes, and my heart shattered for him. "It's true, Will.... I'm so, so, so sorry." I replied in a strained whisper as I wiped my tears away. We sat there in silence for what felt like forever until anyone did anything. Will quickly stood up and angrily knocked over the chair he was sitting on. I could see the tears just streaming down his face and it suddenly became hard to breath. It was like I could feel his pain, and it hurt like hell. I couldn't remember a time when I hurt this much in my entire life. All I wanted to was help him feel better. I just wished I could hug and kiss all of his pain away, but I knew I couldn't. He stormed towards the door and fumbled to unlock it before he flung it open violently. He took off running down the steps and out into the cold night. "Will!" I said as I stood up. I had half a mind to go running after him, but a pair of arms wrapped around me and held me back. "No, let him go. He needs to be alone right now. He'll come back, I just know he will." Oliver said as he pulled me into a comforting hug. "How do you know that he'll be back?" I asked him curiously as we broke the hug. "Because of you. He'll come back to you, Clover. Mark my words." He replied as he shut the door and locked it. We both knew he had a key, but I just hoped that he had it with him before he left. Oliver made a strong pot of coffee while I went into the bathroom to take a long bath. After I was finished I put on my pajamas and poured me a cup of the coffee he had made before joining him on the couch. Both of us knew we weren't gonna get much sleep while Will was out in the dead of night, so we decided to stay up. Even though we knew he could handle himself, we still worried about him. I guess I must have fallen asleep sometime during the night, because I found myself laying on the couch. A soft blanket was covering me, and I suddenly realized that it was Will's blanket. It smelled like him, and I couldn't resist snuggling into it. 'Will.' I said inside of my head, and the events of last night came back to me. A rush of panic and worry rushed through me, and I hurriedly rubbed the sleep from my eyes. As I sat up a bit I realized that the sun was just coming up. I looked over to my right and saw Oliver laying on the floor with a pillow under his head and a blanket over his body. He was all sprawled out; it was actually pretty funny looking. But my brief feeling of amusement disappeared instantly when my mind went back to Will. He was out by himself in the dark and cold. I hoped beyond hope that he hadn't done something stupid or incredibly drastic while he was alone. Even more so, I hoped that no one hurt or took advantage of him. I slowly got up off of the couch and walked into the kitchen to make us a fresh pot of coffee. I didn't bother making breakfast, because I wasn't hungry. Even the thought of food made my stomach feel queasy. As the coffee pot finished brewing, Oliver stirred and slowly got up. He stretched and several joints cracked in the process. "Remind me to never sleep on the floor again." He said as he rubbed his neck with a pained expression on his face. "Duly noted. Here, have a cup of coffee." I replied as he shuffled over to the kitchen table, where I was seated. The rising sun was a dark orange stripe that was bleeding through the dark gray clouds that had covered the skies last night. A misty fog laid low to the ground, which gave everything a sort of mysterious look. I probably would have admired it a bit more if my mind wasn't occupied with worried thoughts about Will. "He's fine, Clover. He can handle himself, don't worry yourself to death over him." Oliver said as he joined my side and gently rubbed my shoulder. "I can't help it. He just means so much to me." I said, and he gave me a half smile. He knew I was gonna worry regardless of what he said, but he tried to ease my mind as best he could. After we drank our coffee in silence for a while, he poured himself a bowl of cereal and tried persuading me to eat something. Just to make him quit bothering me, I nibbled at a piece of buttered toast. "I'm gonna take a shower. Just yell if you need anything." He said as he put his cup and bowl in the sink. I ended up drinking the rest of the coffee as I waited on him to finish up. I wanted him to be out here waiting to see if Will came back while I went into my room to get changed. I washed my face, combed through my hair, put deodorant on, and brushed my teeth before I put on some other clothes. I picked out an oversized dark green colored long sleeved t-shirt, a pair of black sweatpants, and then slipped my flip flops back on. It was kinda chilly, so I wanted to make sure I was warm. On my way back into the living room my phone buzzed, and I wondered if it was Will. I quickly retrieved it from by pocket to see who was texting me.

Jessica: Hey, how have you been? We haven't talked in a couple of weeks, and I just wanted to check up on you. <3

Me: Hey! I've been alright. How have you been? <3

Jessica: Wow! I'm surprised you're awake this early. XD anyway, I've been alright I guess. Working three jobs really takes a toll on a person. Lol. I've been thinking of quitting one of them tbh.

Me: Which one are you think about quitting?

Jessica: The one at Rite Aid. My co-workers are complete jerks towards me, and I'm getting sick and tired of it.

Me: Well, if you're getting tired of it then I don't blame you. You don't need their negativity in your life. Besides, you need to make more time for yourself. You've been working for like.... ever. Lol

Jessica: Thanks for your support!! It really means a lot, Clover. <3 XD you're so right.

Jessica and I texted each other for a while, which was exactly what I needed. I needed a distraction, and she was serving as the best one yet. It helped that she was a quick texter as well. But before long we had to say our goodbyes, because she had to go to work. I desperately hoped that she'd find a way to have more fun in her life, and quitting one of her jobs would really help. Suddenly, the sound of the front doorknob rattling caught my attention. My heart leapt and adrenalin rushed through my veins. Oliver hopped up from the couch and quickly walked over to the door to see who it was. "It's Will. Clover, he's back." He said, and all of my worries seemed to melt away. I breathed a sigh of relief just knowing that he had to be okay if he made it safely back home. The door opened, and Oliver greeted him kindly as they gave each other a quick hug. "Will, I'm so glad you're back." I said softly as I walked up to him and gave him a hug. He wrapped his arms around me and held me tight, just like I was holding him. He felt cold and damp. He sort of smelled like he had slept in grass, but I didn't care. I was just glad that he came back. "Of course I came back, Clover. You and Oliver are the only two people I trust, and I told you before... I'd never leave and break your heart." He said softly, and I snuggled into his chest. My heart and insides melted at his words. I just really hoped that he knew how much I truly love him. When we broke the hug I noticed that he looked tired and worn. "Come on, let's get you some hot food in your belly." Oliver said happily as he closed the door and walked into the kitchen. He cooked Will some sausage and pancakes along with some coffee. Will told us that he had went to his old house and just let all of his emotions out, and after he had done that he went to the park where he slept underneath a tree. 'I was right. He did sleep in the grass.' I said inside of my head as I gently rubbed his back. He gave me a weak smile once he and I made eye contact, and I really wished I was giving him some kind of comfort. We spoke comforting and encouraging words to him as he ate the food Oliver had made for him. Once he was finished he went and took a shower. I cleaned up the kitchen and washed the dishes. The entire time I had a small smile on my face, and so did Oliver. We were just glad that we got our friend back. "I'm gonna go get some groceries, okay? I think you and Will need some time alone. I hope it's okay with you." Oliver said as he grabbed his car keys. "Yeah, that's fine. Just be careful." I replied with a smile. "I will." He said before he gave me a small hug. He left the apartment and took off into town to get some groceries for the house. A few minutes went by after he left and I heard the bathroom door open. "Oliver went to the grocery store, I just thought you-" I said, but cut my sentence short with a gasp. Will was standing in the living room with nothing on but a towel. It was wrapped around his waist, and I thanked god it was a large towel he was wearing. If he had been naked when I turned around I'm sure I would have had a heart attack. His arms looked so strong and his body was way more toned than I expected it to be, but I wasn't complaining. He looked so beautiful, and the sight of him sent my heart racing. My overies literally exploded, and I couldn't help the blush that burned on my cheeks. "I'm sorry, I forget to take a change of clothes into the bathroom with me." He replied awkwardly as his cheeks turned a light pink color. 'Oh my god! You look so cute when blush!!' I thought inside of my head. "N- no. I- it's o- okay." I managed to stutter out like a complete fool. He let out a small sort of laugh as he looked down at the floor and ran a hand through his still damp hair. 'Stop looking so damn attractive!!!' I yelled inside of my head. He grabbed some clothes and said he was sorry one last time before he disappeared into the bathroom. I gently bit my bottom lip as images of his body floated around in my head. 'Not only is he sweet and the perfect kind of guy, but he has a hot body as well!! Evelyn, you're an idiot for letting him go.' I thought inside of my head. I just hoped that things wouldn't be awkward between Will and I after that.
