Clover's POV:

During the car ride, I could feel the nervous energy radiating from Max. I couldn't imagine what was going through his head; I just wished he wasn't going to backstab us in the end. I glanced in my rearview mirror and saw that Oliver and my brother were following behind me. Before we left the diner, I sent Oliver a text to let him know that I planned on letting Max know about Will. All of us knew this could go a lot of ways; not all of them were good either. "Where are we going?" His British accent cut through the silence. "To my apartment." I replied, even though it really wasn't my apartment. My name wasn't on the lease, but I did help Oliver pay rent and stuff. So... I guess it kinda is my apartment in some ways. I pressed my thoughts to the back of my mind as an uncomfortable silence settled down around us like a thick fog. A few more minutes went by before our destination came into view. I parked the car and Alex parked his right behind me. That's when Max really started to get nervous. "That car... it.. it's been following us since we left the diner." He said with wide eyes. "Don't worry, it's my brother and my best friend." I replied, and he seemed to relax a little. I got out of the vehicle first, and he slowly followed me as we walked up to the apartment. The kitchen light was on, and I wondered what Will was doing. 'He's probably sleeping.' I said inside of my head. I took my keys out of my pocket and turned around to see Alex and Oliver walking up towards the apartment. I unlocked the door and Max followed me inside. The tv was turned off and the only light on was the one in the kitchen. 'Good. I didn't want him to see Will right when we walked in.' I said inside of my head as my brother and friend walked inside as well. "What's going on? Is this some sort of trick? Or.. trap?" Max asked as he slowly backed away from us. "No. I told you that I wanted you to meet someone, and I told you the truth." I said. "Come on, have a seat and relax." Alex said as he pulled out a chair at the kitchen table. As I took off my jacket, they sat down together and introduced themselves to each other. 'Time to wake up Will.' I said inside of my head. I slowly opened the bedroom door, and the sound of soft snores filled my ears. A small smile spread across my face, and I suddenly started to feel guilty about having to wake him up. Moonlight filtered through the curtains, so it gave the room a slight blueish colored glow. I quietly walked over to him, and gently placed my hand on his shoulder. "Will, wake up. I brought Max here to see you." I whispered softly. To my surprise, he actually stirred and opened his eyes. "What?" He asked me curiously as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes. "Max is in the kitchen. I... I think it might be time he knew of your existence." I replied and he slowly got out of bed. His dark hair was disheveled, and his pajamas were slightly wrinkled and crooked on him. My heart warmed and my insides melted at the sight. "You look so cute when you wake up." I said softly as I placed my hands on his chest. "So do you, sweetheart." He said softly before he quickly kissed my lips. All I wanted to do was kiss him more and cuddle up with him in bed, but I knew we couldn't. Things needed to be said between all of us and it can't wait until morning. "Just stay behind me, and step out after I introduced you." I said in a whisper as we walked towards the door. "Okay." He whispered back. He and I quietly walked out of the bedroom and into the small hallway that lead into the living room. Once I came into view, Max turned his head to look at me. "Max, I'd like you to meet Will Caster." I said, and Will stepped out of the shadows. "Hi." Will said, and Max literally fainted right there in his chair. The sound his head made when it came in contact with the table was sickeningly loud, and I hoped he hadn't given himself a concussion. "Well, that went well. Didn't it?" Oliver said. "I don't think it could have went any better." Alex replied, and they chuckled lightly. "Come on guys, that isn't funny." I said, but I couldn't help the amused smile that was on my face. Will picked Max up and carried him into the living room while Alex turned on the lights. Oliver went into the bathroom to retrieve a medical kit just in case Max did himself a mischief. After a while of looking at the poor man, he finally woke up. "Ugh! My head!" He groaned as he covered his eyes with the palms of his hands. "You hit your head on the table when you fainted." Oliver said to him. He removed his hands from his face, and his eyes grew wide when he spotted Will once again. "Am I dead?" He asked curiously. "No, you're very much alive." Alex replied. We all just sat in silence for what felt like an eternity. "Is... is it really you?" Max asked as tears started filling his blue eyes. "Yeah, it's me." Will replied. They hugged each other while Max cried. There was something both beautiful and heart breaking about the scene that was taking place in front of me. Two friends that haven't seen each other in years were finally reuniting. It seemed even more amazing, knowing that one of them had been declared deceased for all of those years as well. We helped Max to his feet and helped him walk back into the kitchen. He asked us billions of questions; most of them was how Will was actually sitting in front of him. I told him everything I knew... I told him our side of the story. Max cried, especially when he realized how much Will had grieved over losing his wife to his best friend. "I'm so... so sorry, Will. I... I felt guilty the second I married her," Max said as he ran a hand through his long and greasy hair. "But none of that matters now." He said. "What do you mean?" Will asked curiously. Then it was Max's turn to tell them what he had told me at the diner. By the end of his explanation, Alex showed him the pictures he had taken. It was a risky move, but it had to be done. We needed to work together as a team if we wanted to dismantle Evelyn's plan. No more secrets... not anymore. "Wait... you broke into the facility?" Max asked as he glanced towards Alex. "It was Clover's plan, I just complied to her request." He replied. "It was only fair. You tried bugging the apartment, remember?" I replied, and a defeated look spread across his features. He knew I was right, but he couldn't bring himself to saying he was sorry. We apologized to each other, and shook hands as an agreement to stick together. "Again, I'm sorry about Evelyn." Max said with sincerity in his eyes. "It's okay. She moved on, and so have I." Will replied as he put his arm around me and kissed my temple gently. "You two do make a cute couple." Max admitted with a small smile on his face. After a few more minutes of talking, Alex said his goodbyes. He had to get up early for work tomorrow morning. I felt sorry for making him stay out so late, but he didn't seem to mind. Hell, it was probably the most excitement he has seen since he was in the army. Oliver offered Max to stay, and he kindly accepted the offer. Will went to bed, and Oliver walked into his room to do the same. I set the couch up for Max, and handed him some spare clothes to wear. "Can I tell you something?" He asked me curiously. "Sure." I replied. "That's the happiest I've ever seen Will in all of the years that I've known him." He said with a smile on his bearded face. "Really?" I asked him curiously. "Yeah... you two must have been made to each other." He replied before he took the clothes I handed him and walked into the bathroom. I figured he was going to take a shower, and I didn't blame him. He looked like he hadn't washed in months. I walked into my bedroom and changed into my pajamas before climbing into bed. "Good, now I can sleep." Will said as he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close. I giggled slightly as I snuggled into his chest. "Sweet dreams, Will." I said softly. "Sweet dreams, Clover." He said softly as well. I ended up falling into a deep sleep. I woke up to the smell of food being cooked, and my stomach growled. That's when I remembered I didn't eat dinner last night. To my disappointment, Will wasn't laying next to me and I figured he was already up. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes before I got out of bed and got dressed. Big fluffy snowflakes were falling past the window and adding to the snow we had gotten overnight. It looked beautiful out there. Once I was dressed, I walked out to the kitchen to find the guys cooking breakfast. Will was making waffles, Oliver was cooking bacon and sausage, and Max was on coffee duty. "Hey, good morning sleepy head. Come here." Will said happily once he spotted me. "Good morning." I replied with a smile as we hugged each other. He kissed my forehead before he went back to cooking. "Would you like a cup of coffee?" Max asked me curiously as I sat down at the table. "Of course, thanks." I replied. He poured me a cup of coffee and handed it to me. After I took a sip of it, I noticed that he had shaved off his beard. 'He probably did that when he took a shower last night.' I said inside of my head. We all made small talk as the food was getting cooked. Max and I see the table a few minutes before everything was done. Then we dug into the large breakfast that was made for us. After we were finished I felt like a pig, but a satisfied one and that's all that matters. When everything was cleaned and put away, we went into town to get Max some clothes to wear. He also needed a haircut. He looked strange with that long hair and no beard. As we waited in the waiting area, my phone buzzed.

Liv: Hey, how are you today?

Me: I'm doing alright. How are you?

Liv: I'm good, thanks. Also, the funeral is at two o'clock right?

Me: Yeah.

Liv: Good. I'm glad you decided to have an afternoon service, because I wouldn't have been able to come if you hadn't.

Me: I figured you and Jessica would have to work this morning. Alex had to work too. That's why I asked for a later time.

We talked for a few minutes. By the time we said our goodbyes, Max was finished with his haircut. He looked a lot better than he did last night, and I'm sure he felt a lot better as well. "Alright, let's get you some new clothes to wear." Oliver said after he paid for his haircut. We all got into the car and headed to the mall, where we looked through several clothing stores. Will and I were looking around while Oliver helped Max out a bit. "So... do you think we can trust him?" I asked Will curiously. "Honestly, I think we can. Everything he told us seemed sincere. I really think he's terrified." Will replied, and I agreed with him. I think we can trust him as well. Once we were finished looking around at the clothing stores, we went to a couple other places. We stopped by f.y.e, Hot Topic, and Spencer's. I ended up finding a couple of shirts that I liked and so did Oliver. After we grabbed something to eat for lunch, we headed back to the apartment to get ready for the funeral. As I got dressed, I wondered if we actually could take Evelyn down. And a part of me really hoped that Max was going to stay after all of this came to an end, but I wasn't going to force him to stay if he doesn't want to. That's to say if any of us survive this thing.
