Clover's POV:

A few weeks went by after my uncle was buried, and I was back at work. Max ended up staying with us. Neither one of us minded, especially since we figured Evelyn and her minions were hurting him. I just hoped that they weren't able to do much without Max there to help them. That was a long shot though, especially since Evelyn is a smart woman. "Are you okay, Clover?" Karen asked, taking me out of my thoughts. "What? Yeah, I'm fine. I was just thinking." I replied. "Are you sure? You've been a lot more distant recently. If you need anyone to talk to, just remember that I'm here for you." She said, and I thanked her. I assured her that I was okay, but I wasn't even sure if I was okay myself. My mind was plagued with the fragile balance that the world's fate was in. It was like everyone's lives were weighing heavily on my shoulders, and I wondered if my friends felt the same way. Once I finished eating my lunch, I went back to work. The day seemed to drag by, and I couldn't wait to get home. I've been missing Will all day, especially since I haven't been able to just relax with him. He and Max have been spending a lot of time together recently. I knew they were trying to come up with a plan to stop the world from being ruled by clones. When quitting time came around, I basically ran out of the building. It was Friday, and all I wanted to do was go home and take a long relaxing bath. I listened to the radio as I drove home, and I wondered what we'd all have for dinner tonight. I pressed my thoughts to the back of my mind as I parked my car and headed up to the apartment. When I walked through the front door I could see Will and Max sitting in the living room. Both of them were pouring over books and making notes; they looked like two college kids studying before finals. I sat my lunch box down on the kitchen table and started cleaning it out. As I placed the ice packs into the freezer, I felt a pair of arms wrap around me from behind. A smile spread across my face as I shut the freezer door and turned around to face my handsome boyfriend. "Hey sweetheart, how was work?" He asked before he gave my lips a quick kiss. "Okay. I'm glad I'm home though." I replied with a small smile. "Hey, you're back! I bet you're glad it's the weekend, huh?" Max said with a slight smile. He sat the book he was reading down, and took a pencil out from behind his ear as well. Will and I broke the comfortable hug and I continued to take some stuff out of my lunch box. "Yeah, I am. It's been a long week." I replied. "Well, I better go pick up that food we ordered. I'll see you two later." Max said as he slipped on his jacket. Apparently they ordered from an Italian restaurant that doesn't deliver, but I didn't care. Italian food sounded delicious especially since I didn't have to cook. After Max had left, Will spoke up once more. "Come here, I have a surprise for you." He said softy as he took my hand and lead me towards our bedroom. Deep down I wondered what kind of surprise he had for me, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous. He stopped at the open bathroom door and I gasped. There was a bubble bath prepared for me, and a few candles were lit as well. "I noticed how stressed you've been over the past few weeks, and I thought you needed something to help you relax." He said as he rubbed the back of his neck slightly. "You're so sweet." I said as I wrapped my arms around him, and he chuckled lightly. I couldn't believe how unbelievably sweet he was; I felt like the luckiest girl in the world to have him as my boyfriend. "Well... I'll let you-" He started, but I cut him off. "Join me." I said, and his eyes grew wide. "Join you?" He asked, obviously shocked. I nodded, hoping he would. I just wanted to be close to him... I just wanted to be in his arms. "I... I don't know... I..." He said, trailing off. "Will, it's okay. It's a bubble bath, we won't see anything. Besides... I trust you." I said as I grabbed his hands and gently pulled him into the bathroom with me. He closed and locked the door behind us, which I was thankful for. I didn't want anyone to catch he and I naked together; they'd start get the wrong idea. He turned his back to me as I undressed and got into the bathtub. And I averted my eyes as he underdressed himself. After a few moments I felt him get into the bath as well. His legs laid on either side of mine, because he decided to sit behind me. Then he gently wrapped his arms around my waist. The feeling of his hands on my bare skin made my heart skip a few beats. I leaned my back against his chest and he tightened his arms around me. The bubbles covered everything as I expected. I looked back at him and he kissed my forehead before putting a bit of bubbles on my nose, which made me giggle. He smiled beautifully as I put some bubbles on his nose as well, which made him chuckle. "I love you, Will." I said softly as I wiped the bubble off of my nose. "I love you too, Clover." He replied as he did the same. We cuddled and kissed for a little while before we washed up a bit. When we were finished he let me get out first, and he averted his eyes as I did so. To my surprise, he wrapped a huge towel around me as he wrapped his arms around me. The towel was so big that it was around my shoulders and still touched the floor. We dried off and then got dressed. I ended up snatching one of Will's shirts and put on a pair of sweatpants as well. "You look so cute in my clothes." He said as he wrapped his arms around me. I placed my hands on his bare chest as he leaned forward and captured my lips with his. Sparks flew like they always do when we kiss. I gently kissed him back as I wrapped my arms around his neck and tangled my fingers in his slightly damp hair. There was a knock on our bedroom door, which ruined the moment. We slowly broke the kiss and I untangled my fingers from his hair. "Dinner is here, love birds." Max's voice said. I could tell that Max was smiling, and I figured he thought Will and I had done more than we actually did. I placed my hands on Will's broad shoulders and he leaned in for one last kiss before he put a shirt on. We walked out into the kitchen, finding Oliver and Max sitting at the table. They smirked as Will and I filled our plates with food. "I'm starving." I said as I sat down. "Yeah, vigorous sex will do that to you." Oliver said with a smile. Max chuckled slightly, and I felt my cheeks heat up. Even Will's cheeks turned a little pink. "We didn't have sex!" I said, feeling embarrassed. They all laughed and said they were just joking. We ate dinner and then went into the living room to watch a movie together. I sort of had a feeling that Max and Will were getting burnt out with the research they were doing. We laughed and just enjoyed the film we were watching. It felt nice to just relax for once. After the movie ended we all got ready for bed. When I climbed into bed, I snuggled up to Will and he wrapped his arms around me. "I really enjoyed tonight. I hope we can do more of this stuff soon." I said. "Good, I'm glad you did. I told Max we should just take a break. All of us really needed it." He replied as he started playing with my hair. We laid there in silence for a few minutes before he spoke up once more. "I love you, Clover. I mean... I really truly, madly, and deeply love you." He said softly before he kissed my lips. My heart melted as I kissed him back. "I love you too, Will. Truly, madly, and deeply." I replied and he gently snuggled his nose against mine, which made me giggle. I really hoped that he knew how much I love him, especially since he means everything to me. "You mean everything to me, Will. I hope you know that." I said after a few seconds of comfortable silence. "You mean everything to me too, Clover." He replied as he snuggled closer to me and left soft kisses on my neck. I giggled softly, hoping I didn't wake Max or Oliver up. He stopped kissing my neck and we cuddled up to each other as close as we could. I ended up drifting into a deep sleep. I woke up to the sound of crashing and yelling in the living room. My eyes snapped open and I found myself all alone in bed. Panic rushed through me as I jumped out of bed and ran through the door to see what was going on. When I reached the living room I was shocked at what I was seeing. Max was laying on the floor holding onto one of his arms. Oliver was laying on the floor as well, but their was a lot of blood flowing from his head. He looked dead, and it scared me to death. Will was standing up in the section between the living room and the kitchen. He was glowing a light blue color and is seeped like he was holding back a black shadowy figure. The figure was taller that the ceiling; I was surprised that the thing was able to fit into the apartment. A slight electrical humming sound filled the apartment. Lights were flickering as well. "What's going on!!" I yelled loudly. "It's Evelyn... she... she's trying to... she's trying to kill us." Max managed to say with a pained expression on his face. I went to help Will fight the shadow figure I assumed was Evelyn. "No! Stop!! I don't want you to get hurt!" Will said with panic in his big brown eyes. "Let me help you! I can't just let you fight alone!" I replied. I really hoped there was some way I could help him fight Evelyn. "The only way I can save everyone... is if I sacrifice myself." He said as tears filled his eyes. Tears filled my eyes as well. "I can't lose you, Will. Please... please let me help you." I said as tears streamed down my face. "I... I'm sorry, Clover. You can't help me... this is the only way. I love you... I love you so much, and I'll always love you." He said softly as tears streamed down his face as well. The blueish glow got brighter and brighter. The light bulbs got bright as well; they ended up bursting and going out just as Will and Evelyn disappeared. The humming noise stopped, and the silence that followed felt heavy... so heavy it was almost suffocating. "Will..." I managed to mumble as my heart broke into a million pieces. The heart ache was so bad that my insides hurt; my soul hurt too. It was like a part of me was ripped away from me. I fell to my knees and covered my face with my hands. I was thankful for him saving all of us, but the pain of losing him almost didn't feel worth it. "It's okay, it's okay. You're alright." A voice said closely to my ear. I thought it was Max, but it didn't sound like him. I was suddenly aware of a slight rocking motion. That's when I came back to reality. "It's alright, Sweetheart. Shhhhh, I've got you, I'm not going anywhere. It's okay, baby. Shhh." Will whispered softly in my ear as he rocked me in his arms. My vision was blurry due to the tears in my eyes, and my throat was sore. It felt like I had been yelling and screaming for hours and hours. I was sitting in his lap and he was holding me so tight and close to him. He pulled away slightly and then wiped my tears away when he realised I was awake. "Hey, you scared me to death." He said before he pulled me close to him again and tangled his fingers in my hair. "I had a nightmare." I replied in a hoarse voice. "I know. Hearing you yell for me, and seeing you crying while you sleep broke my heart." He said softly. Once I was calmed down we untangled from each other, and he grabbed me a bottle of cold water. "Did I wake Max or Oliver up?" I asked after I took a couple of drinks of water. "No. I think they could sleep through a war." He replied with a slight laugh. He asked me what I dreamed about, and I told him. His eyes filled with tears and he wrapped his arms around me once more. "I love you, sweetheart. I'd do anything to stay here with you so I can love you forever." He whispered softly before he kissed my forehead. We snuggled up to each other and I fell back to sleep after what felt like forever. I just hoped I didn't have another nightmare.
