M/N= Mother's name

It was a dark and rainy night in London when a lone mother laid a small basket at the doorstep of a barber shop. The basket held the woman's only son/daughter inside, wrapped in F/C blankets. The mother tucked a crumpled and rain spotted note into the blanket's folds, kissed the child's forehead, and rushed out into the darkness. The next morning, after the rain had subsided, a man by the name of Mr. Sweeney Todd was just opening his barber shop, the same barber shop the mother left her baby at. Sweeney looked down at the basket, his eyes widening. "A...A baby?" He said, surprised.

He picked up the little bundle of blankets, and the note fluttered out of the folds. Sweeney picked up the note and read it, holding the baby in his arm.

"To whomever finds this note,

This is my only son/daughter, Y/N. Please take care of him/her, and raise him/her as your own child. I'm afraid my time in this world is growing short. I hope Y/N will grow up in a good family.

M/N."

Sweeney looked at the baby in his arm, then back at the note. "Y/N, eh?" He asked. A smile slowly spread across his face. A genuinely happy smile. "Cute name for a cute little boy/girl like you!" he said. The baby smiled a bit, then slowly opened his/her large E/C eyes.

Sweeney was mesmerized by the bright sparkle of those eyes. "Let's get you inside, my boy/girl," Sweeney said, unlocking the shop door and stepping inside.
