I'll be doing this chapter in four parts because these'll get pretty long.
Y/H/T=Your Home Town
Jack Skellington
It was a dark cold night under a full moon in Y/H/T. Halloween had just come to a close, and the cold weather was starting to become more frequent. Little did the residents of the town know, a mysterious beast prowled the woods while they slumbered, robbing deer hunters of their kill. Many tried to catch glimpses of it while on camping trips, but their efforts were fruitless. That night, things would change, and one lucky mortal would lay eyes on the creature. All it would take was a well set trap.
~MANY HOURS AGO~
~Jack POV(Ooh, POV time!)~
Something isn't right. Y/N went to bed a few hours ago, but it's surprisingly quiet. No, it's too quiet. I should probably go check on him/her and see if (s)he's ok. Zero lets out a small whine, and I give him a comforting pat on the head. "It'll be ok, boy. I'm just going to check on-"
CRASH!!!
~NORMAL POV~
Jack ran up the stairs the second he heard the sound of glass smashing, and a heavy thud as something landed on the ground below. "Y/N?! Y/N, ARE YOU OK?!" he yelled as he got to your bedroom door and opened it. You were nowhere to be seen. Your bedroom was a mess, though. Your pillows were in feather covered rags. There were deep, jagged claw marks along the sides of your wooden coffin bed.
And most noticeable, there was a gaping hole in your window. Jack ran to the window and just barely caught sight of a shadowy figure darting into the woods. Curiosity, along with fatherly concern, overwhelmed Jack. He ran out of the house, and silently followed the figure into the dark. He recognized the places he was following the creature through. Just as everything was clicking into place, he found himself in the human world.
~Y/N POV~
Hunger. All I feel is hunger. Even though I went to bed with a full stomach, I feel as though I haven't eaten in days. Luckily, I've been using these woods as my hunting grounds for years. I would say I feel bad for keeping my condition a secret from Dad, but that would be a lie. If he knew that this....abomination was his own son/daughter, he would want nothing to do with me.
Mortals try to get a picture of me while I'm around, but I'm too smart for them. I can easily blend in with the shadows, and I always hide the remains of my meals so that it seems as though I was never there to begin with. Wait....I smell something.
~NORMAL POV~
The little deer's sleek pelt was a light reddish brown. He was too old to be a fawn, but somewhat younger than a fully grown buck. Even though most of the grass had submitted to the Autumn chill, there were still some green patches around. The tough part was knowing where to look for them. Although it was unknown to him at the time, the timid woodland creature had made the biggest mistake of his life. Finding a small patch of jade green grass, he bent down to get a few mouthfuls before going back home.
He was soon to find out that there was a far more dangerous creature than a wolf or a hunter waiting to pounce. No, not a vampire. Not a werewolf either. This was something far more evil. More sinister. This was a Wendigo.
~Y/N POV(ALSO GORE WARNING)~
I'm on the deer before he even knows I'm there. Instantly, my claws dig into his soft pelt, pinning the deer to the forest floor as my sharp teeth, so much like his own, latch onto his throat. One quick jerk, and the deer's neck snaps like a twig. No longer able to bear the emptiness of my stomach, I rip into the carcass, tearing off bloody hunks of flesh and spilling organs all over the grass. Just as my hunger is about gone, I hear a branch snap. I manage to get up and retreat into the bushes.
