S P A C E || Nomin 《Completed》

~•It's fine•~

Jeno finished all his lectures and thought he should go and check on Jaemin. Even though he and Jaemin have nothing to do with each other, he felt he needs to check on him either way. Jaemin is not from around here and Jeno wouldn't mind a company like him, so why not?

He arrived there and couldn't find Jaemin on the kitchen. He spotted Jaehyun, walking.

Jaehyun spotted Jeno. "Oh, you're here for Jaemin right?" Jaehuyn said and Jeno  nodding his head as a yes.

"He's in the staff room. He um kinda hurt himself while doing the dishes." Jeno widened his eyes and immediately went the staff room, hoping Jaemin didn't hurt himself too badly.

He opened the door and it reviled Jaemin with wet cheeks. Jeno hurried next to him to comfort him. "Hey... What's wrong?" Jeno asked softly, noticing the big bandaid on his arm. Jaemin sniffed and said "I-i hurt my arm and there is water coming out of my eyes!" Jeno patted his back gently and chuckled lightly. "It's fine, Jaemin. And those called tears."

"T-tears?" Jaemin frowned.

"Yes, we cry when we are sad or happy." Jeno said.

Jaemin nodded taking notes on his mind.

Jeno was surprised at how this whole situation effected Jaemin. It seems as if Jaemin thought he did a very bad thing, that mistakes are unacceptable. Jeno didn't know what's behind this kind of act, maybe a tough childhood.

But Jeno also knew Jaemin wasn't faking any of this, he was sure of that.

Jaemin calmed down and was not crying anymore. "You feeling better?" Jeno asked, and Jaemin answered nodding with a smile which Jeno returned gladly.

They walked out of the staff room meeting taeyong out. "Hey, Jaemin. Feeling any better?" Jaemin nodded.

"You can leave you two. When his cut is healed, tell me so I could arrange which shift he'll be taking."

"Can you give him the night shift just like me?" Jeno asked and Jaemin widened his eyes, surprised that Jeno would actually not find it annoying spending this time with him, thinking he was enough of a trouble for him.

"Hmmmm. Yeah actually, that'd work." Taeyong said smiling and Jeno nodded.

Jeno didn't know why he did it, but he felt like he had to look out for Jaemin. Jaemin didn't seem to know a lot of things and Jeno was afraid it'll be used against him in a very bad way. He thought of Jaemin as a cute lost puppy who would need a company. Jeno was aware that he was doing this to a stranger, it's only been yesterday when he met him, but it seemed to Jeno that he knew him or just knew that Jaemin is not bad and trustworthy.

"Would you like to eat ramen?" Jeno asked, he didn't receive any answer so he turned around to see Jaemin with an anxious look on his face.

"H-hey, what's wrong?" Jeno asked worried about Jaemin. Jaemin looked like he has seen a ghost or something like that.

"W-what is a Ramen?" Jaemin nervously asked. Jeno stayed silent for a moment thinking that he must be kidding. Soon after he started laughing so hard. Jaemin looked even paler seeing Jeno laughing. Jeno noticed the terrified look that was on his face so he rushed to his side.

"Hey. Why are you pale? It's fine, I just thought you were kidding because everyone knows ramen. It's okay, I'll show you." Jeno said taking Jaemin's hands in his, leading him to the kitchen to show him how to make ramen, or more importantly what is Ramen.

"See, this is ramen." Jeno said and Jaemin nodded. Jeno found him so cute, but he shook the idea out of his mind.

"First, we wait until the water boils. And when it does, we but the ramen then finally we put the flavors. Easy, right?" Jaemin nodded smiling.

Soon after the ramen finished and they started eating. Jasmin's facial expressions were so precious. He loved the taste so much and started eating so fast and choked. Jeno patted his back softly while giggling. Jaemin's face was red, Jeno thought it was only because he choked, but well that was not the only reason.

They finished eating. Jaemin said he had to the bathroom real quick, so Jeno was like 'yeah, of course, take your time'.

He was in the bedroom and he closed the door behind him. He called a friend and a colleague named 'Mark'. Jaemin have to update them about any new information about humans.

"Hey, Jaemin. Got any updates?" Jaemin nodded.

"I noticed that they have one moon, just one!" Mark gasped, but nodded anyway.

"T-that's some major news! I'll tell everyone, good job, Jaemin." Jaemin smiled and nodded smiling. They ended the call.

Jaemin had this device that they developed for anyone who goes to earth can communicate with their planet. It is a really weird looking device in the eyes of humans so he hopes Jeno would never see it or anyone here.

Jaemin knew he had to focus on his mission and his mission only. He shouldn't be getting attached to anything on earth. He agreed to go thinking it would be easy to not get attached to anything on earth, but Jaemin is kinda feeling like he is not doing that, he is getting attached and Jaemin doesn't like that because everything has an end and he was bad at saying goodbyes.

Jeno got dressed, preparing himself for his night shift. Jasmin's hand was still not healed, Jeno doesn't want his wound to get infected if he goes and does the dishes.

"Jaemin, I'm going to work. Will you be okay alone?" Jeno asked.

Jaemin was looking at the ground. He knew he wouldn't be entirely okay alone, but he doesn't also want to be a burden for the older, again.

Jaemin nodded smiling, but Jeno didn't buy it. He saw through him. So he dragged Jaemin to the bedroom to get him dressed.

Jaemin didn't utter a word, he was taken aback by the older' actions, but didn't complain since he really didn't want to be alone.

Jeno finished Jaemin's outfit, satisfied at the younger' visuals. Jaemin was cute, but was also handsome, Jeno wouldn't deny that.

"A-are you sure I can come?" Jaemin mumbled. Jeno turned towards him and gave him his cutest smile, Jaemin felt his stomach flip.

"Yes, silly. Not to mention, night shifts can be boring and lonely. I'd like some company." Jeno replied.

"But there's a difference between liking some company and liking my company." Jaemin mumbled frowning. Jeno saw through it, Jaemin thinks that Jeno just what's any company to keep him entertained, but Jaemin only would like someone who wants him to come along because they enjoy his company.

"Hmmm, you're right. But the thing is I like your company." Jeno smiled his eyes smile and Jaemin could only feel frustrated and a shade of light red appeared on his cheeks. Jeno could only think that Jaemin was the cutest human ever, he enjoyed his cute company.

Jaemin was only confused. He didn't like the effect the older had on him. His cheeks keeps heating up as if he was sick, but he wasn't. He kept feeling frustrated and nervous. He didn't know if that was a normal thing for humans. Is there a human sickness with those signs? Jaemin thought.

In Jaemin's planet there was no such thing as love. Your parents are the only ones allowed to choose who you'll marry and stay with when you reach a certain age, thinking the parents know their sons and daughter more than they know themselves. It's just a thing about his planet. The people who went against that are the only ones who felt love which is like a weird thing to them. Everyone called them crazy because who never experienced love wouldn't understand the things you do for it.
