11pm was the perfect hour. not too early, not too late. the sky was dark and dotted by all the stars covering it in such a way that taehyung couldn't look away.

another thing - or person - he couldn't seem to look away from was jungkook. the boy was mesmerising in his own way. he glanced at him after inhaling the smoke coming out of his pretty lips and looked up once again to observe those stars with a lovestruck expression and a serene smile.

a tap on his shoulder and the same action was repeated, this time followed by a sweet kiss on that same terrace he spent almost everyday with the boy that made his heart melt every time he smiled.

"still wondering what i did to deserve you" taehyung chuckled at that thinking about how they'd been together since the beginning of summer and it was already august. not much but the love between them made it feel like so much.

before that they didn't talk much, wouldn't consider them friends either. everything started when taehyung had the genius idea to refuse jimin's ride and go back home alone at midnight in the pouring rain. sounds cliché but somehow jungkook saw him through his car's window and nonchalantly offered him to come in.

"wouldn't want you to get wet"

"i already am though"

"woah, didn't expect to have this effect on people"

it was weird but for taehyung's younger amused self it seemed like the funniest joke. so that's how it all happened. the long night talks, hanging out at jungkook's apartment because they could at least be alone there, all the secretive glances and the kiss during a random session of smoking and drinking that started it all and remained as some kind of routine.

taehyung leaned his head on the younger's shoulder and the latter embraced him with his free hand.

"shouldn't you already be home, now? your parents told you to be back earlier today, didn't they?"

taehyung pouted realising that was the truth "yeah for some stupid dinner with my aunt but come on, it's already too late. i prefer being here with you doing much more fun things" he smiled before stealing the end of the blunt, taking one more hit and throwing it away before making jungkook lay down on their usual blanket.

"as if your parents didn't hate me already enough" he said with a sigh before chuckling and kissing the other's soft plump lips, then his jaw and neck, leaving the same old love marks that taehyung's parents were always so mad about.

taehyung's parents. the latter could already hear the same words and reasons they always seemed to find.

"that's not love. you think it's love because you want to be all rebelious with a boyfriend with tattoos that smokes, this is not a movie tae, what do you think?"
"he probably just wants your body, can't you see that?"
"you smoke now? we knew he had a bad influence on you"
"he changed you"
"you barely spend time with us now"

"why do you keep disappointing us?"

funny question - taehyung thought - why would they consider him being happy a disappointment? he asked himself so many times what he and jungkook did wrong to deserve such treatment but he never found an answer.

"i love you"

"i love you too baby"

that smile jungkook would show him everytime made him forget about all his worries and problems. because so many people, not only his parents, thought that what they had was just them fooling around but they were both just so happy.

the world is a weird place. you get judged for loving, for being happy.
is there even something people don't judge? always trying to come up with smart remarks that just hurt.

good thing they had eachother then, because when they were together the world didn't seem that scary anymore - because they were eachother's world.
