The front desk laddy finally came and pushed all the boys off the counter "you darn pubescent Boys! Now foot prints are all over the counter!" She muttered, but of course like all things, Gwen could hear.

She walked up to the front desk wile the lady was looking away. Gwen cleared her throat "um, excuse me." Gwen tried to say it in her usual sweet tone, but the thought of those boys trying to find out about monsters really annoyed her, which was hard to do.

"Oh! You sacred me there" the lady looked closer at her "Your new I see." Gwen laughed a little "Is it that obvious?"

"Oh no, I just know all the kids that go to this school, it's very small. This year we only have about one hundred and seven kids attending this year? Ya, that's right." Gwen was surprised, 107 kids? This was most defiantly the smallest school Gwen has ever seen, at least population wise.

"Wow! That is small! Anyways, I need my schedule. I have no idea where I'm supposed to go." Gwen said, smiling nervously.

"Oh, yes! I'll have one of the office student aids come show you around the school before class begins." The lady was very nice, but Gwen had never had a student aid help her, and Gwen wasn't comfortable with it. She was very good at making sure she was labeled the normal, uninteresting, quiet, sweet girl, who no one gave a second thought about.

Of course though it wasn't easy. Gwen was vary beautiful, and always tried to degrade her looks so that people wouldn't like her... ever.

Gwen always tried to cover up her face with smi-realistic fake pimples. She'd mess up her eyebrows and tried to make it look like she had allergies with a pinkish nose, as if she was always sneezing.

This year though, she was done with all of that. She didn't want to wake up earlier to make herself look less attractive. She was just going to have to deal with the attention, and be herself.... well not fully herself.

Suddenly the door to the front office opened, and coming out was a very short but very pretty girl. She had dark brown hair and brown eyes, she was also very lean.

She was looking at a sheet of paper in her hands "uhh, Gwendolyn... Volk? That's an interesting last name." She said, looking up from the paper. "Ya that's me." Gwen said waving her hand. "Oh! Nice to meet you Gwen- I can call you that right?" She asked.

"Oh ya that's totally fine, most people do anyways." Gwen said nicely.  "Ok Gwen! I'm Kelsey, and again nice to meet you."

Gwen nodded her head and said "So homeroom?"

"Oh yes, follow me."

Kelsey took her threw the end of the first hallway and stopped at the last door. "This is your homeroom, classroom 7." Kelsey looked down at Gwen's scedule and pointed to her second hour "ugh, classroom number 13, good luck with that!" She said with distaste.

"My favorite number!" Gwen said, it really was her favorite number. Kelsey laughed and said "ya I had that teacher last year, he's... interesting. He's kind of drawn to spooky stuff, which isn't my forte."

"Not one for Haloween than?" Gwen asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I actually do like Halloween! Just not the gory, scary, Halloween, I'm more of the sweet fluffy, funny pumpkin carving and cute costumes.... that kinda stuff."

"Suck all the fun out of it why don't you." Gwen teased "No, I'm not much for gory either" Gwen lied, a lot of her Halloween was gory "but I do like scary stuff!" Gwen finished.

"I guess that's a pretty good balance. Anyway, need me to show you your other classes?" Kelsey asked

Gwen looked down at her schedule "mmm no. It looks like most of, if not all, are clumped together. So I'm fine, thanks though!" Kelsey walked away waving goodbye to Gwen, as she disappeared into the classroom.
